The Handle and Pour Spout Put These Bowls Over the Top
I bought these bowls as a gift for my father, who had been admiring my set of OXO Good Grips stainless steel mixing bowls. These bowls arrived at my parents' house while we were visiting for the holidays, and I was actually able to watch my father use them to make breakfast (his specialty) and get his thoughts on them. Because he was so impressed with my bowls' non-skid rubber bottom, I was sure that would be his favorite feature of these bowls as well; however, he actually said that he liked the handles and pour spout the best, as they made it much easier for him to control the amount of pancake batter that he put on the griddle. He also said that the handles were helpful for whisking egg yolks to make scrambled eggs and mixing together the wet and dry ingredients in the pancake batter. By the end of the week, he was gleefully proclaiming that HIS bowls were far better than MY bowls, and I can't say that I disagree with him, even as much as I love my bowls.

All the important features you want in a mixing bowl set
I ordered this mixing bowl set because I wanted these features:- non-skid wide bottoms (I can use a handmixer without the bowl spinning or sliding around on the countertop)- handles (why anyone would make bowls without handles makes no sense lol, I'm always combining ingredients from multiple bowls and need a hand free for mixing or scraping with the spatula. The handle design allows me to comfortably slide my fingers in and grasp the bowl with my palm quite easily)- stainless steel (I want something durable and that I can put warm foods into. I don't like glass as I'm afraid it will break and I avoid plastic contacting my food as much as possible. BrightSpring bowls were lighter than I expected them to be and I thought that was a good thing since the ingredients are usually so heavy already)- pour spout for less mess- dishwasher-safe (I can mix raw meats in there and then just pop it in the dishwasher for sanitizing)- it has stellar reviews on Amazon! I ALWAYS read the reviews and check a product's rating. Unless it has four or more stars, I won't even click on it. Everyone raves about the mixing bowl set.- if I signed up on the BrightSpring website, I could use a coupon code to save even more money on my set- there are not many options (almost none) of stainless steel mixing bowls with all the features I like and this one came closest :)- well priced- nest nicely for storage- a nice range in bowl sizes (other sets are all too small or all too big)- measuring marks on the inside (not a must-have for me, but a nice-have)- the Brightspring website made me feel that it was a reputable company that really cared about making a product that was useful and designed in the best possible way and not just out to get my money one time with a terrible product. Customer satisfaction was guaranteed. As soon as I see a company is willing to support their product like that, I know that it will be one worth buying.Cons:- they don't have lids but I can use Saran Wrap and have one less thing to clean anyway. Maybe they could make and sell lids for this as an add-on in the future?- the bowl size measurements in the Amazon description could also be in quarts or litres so I can look at my current bowls and have an idea on the size of these. I did like that the bowl sizes by inches were listed so I could measure in my cupboard and know that they will fit in my space.I have to add that the customer service of BrightSpring is stellar. They really care about customer feedback on their products and want to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. I would not hesitate to buy more of their products in the future. I even ordered this from Canada and drove to the US to pick it up because Amazon.ca doesn't carry it.

Only One Problem
I like this set of bowls, with the handle and bottom that keeps it from sliding around on the counter. The bowls arrived in good shape but it was about a week before I had a chance to use them. When I got them out of the cupboard the small bowl had a crack through the upper edge extending down a little over a half inch. How this occurred while sitting untouched in the cupboard I do not know but I am very disappointed and will probably never use that bowl. I had read the reviews prior to ordering the set and knew that this has occurred for other buyers. I had hoped that it would not happen to my set, but it did. I have used the other two bowls and do like them. The pour spout worked great for filling muffin tins without making a mess, like I usually did trying to spoon the batter in. Overall, nice set. Too bad it turned out to be a set of two.

A pleasure to use
I had an old stainless steel mixing bowl passed down to me from my husband's grandmother. Sadly, if finally gave up and had to be discarded. I went looking for a new bowl and stumbled upon this three-bowl set. All I was really trying to buy was the largest size, but the price was good and I liked the idea of handles and pour spouts. The inside measuring markers are also nice to have and make it convenient for mixing up something like pancakes where the measurements need not be exact.I love these. They are really sturdy and the rubber on the bottom provides a secure base, but they aren't too heavy. I used the middle-sized bowl last night to mix two pounds of ground meat and other ingredients for meatballs and it was a perfect size for that project. I used the smallest bowl for making a small batch of scrambled eggs.I've only had them for a short time, so I can't comment on durability yet, but I'm really happy with this purchase.

I am DELIGHTED with my choice. I am hard to please in the kitchen :)
I love my bowls. They rock. They Nest. They don't have lids, but I don't hold that against them because they are such very good bowls in so many other ways. :)My housemates can never "accidently" abscond with them, because they stand out. ;)They big green silicone bottoms are weighted very well to keep things from tipping or spinning wildly. The handles are tricky with arthritis --but what isn't?!?! They are MUCH of a relief compared to a basic metal ring for holding onto while mixing. The sizes are all used in my kitchen -- near daily. The pour works perfectly --No running down the side of bowl when pouringI was comparing to Kitchen Aid, Cuisenart, and OXO. I am DELIGHTED with my choice. I am hard to please in the kitchen :)
