It removes the inherent flex from the original spoil board, so this is a win from the start.Then there's the debate of the holes versus the tracks. I don't actually use the tracks much, since I mostly use woodworker double sided tape. But I definitely prefer T Tracks over the original holes.I added a second MDF to protect the spoil board from spoiling, and to ease the use of my shorter bits.

The hybrid spoilboard adds much rigidity to the machine, as expressed in other reviews posted before me. My machine seems to tolerate a higher workload with the hybrid spoilboard and the machining process is generally smoother. The price tag is a little high but this product definitely brings the standard 4040-Pro up a few levels. Not only does the spoilboard increase rigidity, it also opens up a lot more options for clamp positioning due to the added linear rails.
