After 7 (seven!) years, the motor on my Habba Mist finally died. I've used it on and off, when on vacation, and in summer, when it's hot. I also used it with regular water (because I was forgetful). It's a sprayer, not a mister, which is what I needed. The reservoir is on the small side if you want to run it often over multiple days. Price has gone up by 15 dollars since I bought it. The Reptile Fogger is cheaper, but you have to get your own timer. So the Monsoon RS400 is the other competing product. Considering the fiddling you seem have to do to make it work properly, I am going to get another Habba Mist.

Not Very Good, But Somewhat Useful if You Absolutely Need a Compact Self-Contained Portable Battery-Powered Automatic Sprayer
Update: In my first review two days ago, I had given this unit 2 stars. However, 22 hours after I put the unit into service, the already-weak and feeble pump which drives the spray/mist nozzle died completely, and there was nothing I could do to ressurect it, short of ripping apart the unit and rebuilding it with a new pump.Amazon has already authorized me to return the now-dead unit for a complete refund. So, I have reduced the star rating of my review from 2 stars to one star. As I had noted earlier, and as numerous other reviewers have noted, both the design and construction of these units are extremely poor, and the units are very unreliable. This is a very low-quality unit. I recommend that you DO NOT buy one!~~~~~ my earlier review from 2 days ago: ~~~~~I recently bought this latest version of this Zoo Med Misting Machine here on Amazon;. I had bought an earlier version of the same model back in 2003, and kinda hated it, because it was so cheaply designed and built, and because the "mist" from the single onboard nozzle was not much more than a dribble of water droplets, and it certainly never emitted anything resembling a true mist or even a true spray. I ended up throwing that earlier version of the unit away after a month or two, because it was so ineffective. The manufacturer claims that they have since re-designed the unit and that they have also upgraded the pump to a quieter and much more powerful version. My experience with the latest version is that it is considerably better than the original 2002-2003 version in terms of pump power and strength of the spray stream, but the stream is still rather laugahable, as it certainly would not qualify as a mist, and not really even as much of a spray. To give you an example, a single spray squeeze of a simple and inexpensive hand-held manual spray bottle of the type that is usually sold at a hardware store for less than $3 will deliver, in one squeeze, a spray that is 15 times finer (in terms of droplet size), 20 times as powerful, and that reaches at least 8 times farther than the spray from this misting machine..In fact, the spray from the nozzle of this so-call mister, which is not a mister at all, but rather a feeble spray machine, reaches only a few inches, and if you try using the 2-nozzle extender hose/nozzle set that is provided with the unit, the performance of each of the two nozzles drops even further, simply because the pump is so underpowered and ineffective. I am thinking of ripping apart my unit and replacing the pump with a 6 volt DC automotive windshield washer pump.Bottom line is that this unit is not very good, simply due to the very weak and downright feeble spray stream, but it is somewhat useful if you absolutely need a compact and entirely self-contained portable battery-powered automatic sprayer, as did I for my current application. While this unit also will operate off 120 VAC using the 120 VAC to 6 VDC power adapter included in the box, I bought it because it will also operate off 4 C-size alkaline cells, and I needed the device to be totally independent of AC power for use in an outdoor setting.About the only positive thing that I can say about this device, aside from the fact that it is compact and self-contained (at least when operated on the 4 internal C cells), is that the pump motor in this newest edition is extremely quiet.

This is a great misting system by zoo med
This is a great misting system by zoo med. it's easy to set up and install and it works great. It is especially effective if you have a reptile that must constantly get Boyster into their enclosure through missing or dripping. The Spicket's on the system are highly adjustable and go anywhere from a fine mist to a drip. It has multiple settings that allow you to select the duration of the spray and how many times per day or what intervals you wish it to be disbursed. It also takes away the guesswork of you having to remember to mist your reptile enclosure when you were doing it by hand. I highly recommend this item.

Small reservoir. Stopped working correctly within months.
It worked great for a few months. My only complaint was that the reservoir was very small and ran out in a few days depending on what setting it was on, but its begun to leak water from the two nozzles even when it was turned off. It only stop leaking when the knob that is used to control which direction it flows (either through the tubes or out the rotating nozzle) is turned so that the water does not flow to the tubes.I also would not suggest this product for anything bigger than a twenty gallon tank.

Unit stopped working after 30 days. The company has now reached out to me to let me know that the unit is quarantined for a year and they are sending a replacement to me.

Awesome
It made a great science and economics project for both my daughter and I. After bashing it into tiny pieces to get it open to find out what was wrong with it immediately after receiving it, we got the primary guts to work without all the clutter of the outer body. What a waste of money as a product, but a great lesson in science, engineering and electronics. This is not our first ReptiRain. Our previous unit worked for 2 years. oh well, back to the manual spray bottle.

Poorly designed. A waste of money.
I bought this product to supply misting for my son's Chameleon housed in a ZooMed Reptibreeze Medium sized enclosure. We had a difficult time getting it set up. For the size enclosure we only needed one nozzle, but getting the nozzle to have a fine enough spray and getting it to point in a direction that would not spray toward the wall was practically impossible. It required modification of the portal through the mesh to get it to spray in the right direction, but we were never able to get it to spray in an even fine spray. The pressure from the pump caused leaking from multiple points and after a few months of use the tube connection at the inside top of the unit disconnected. Inspection of the internals showed a set up that allowed the leaking water to drip onto the electronics despite a drip shield being part of the design. Overall I think the product is poorly designed. We have had to discontinue use and seek another mister for the enclosure. A waste of money.

The media could not be loaded. Tiene una fuga el recipiente. Voy a devolverlo.

I'd get another
Dont use the suction cup version, but it did stick to the tank and was one hell of a pain to get it off ... so I'd say suction power is good. BUT! With regards to the rest... it has a good mist, I'm doing two terrariums, one nozzle per tank and it does a good job. Keep an eye on the water level, pretty much have to fill it up every day. Good bang for your buck, I figure
