I would, not n fact I already have, recommended this book to my reading group. ALet's be honest most police mystery books are all rather similar but this one had a different story take and extremely likable characters. I'm now going to look for its sequel???

I happened upon this book by accident.I decided to give it a go. I loved it.It was different. Had a great storyline and some interesting characters. Definitely worth a read.

As usual, couldn’t put this book down, I love the way these books are written, always something happening and a twist to boot!

Each book in this series just keeps getting better! Great plots without excessive violence but intriguing and page-turning. He keeps you guessing to the end. Love his turn of phrase that makes me laugh out loud by times. The characters are wonderful and the banter between them priceless. There are also poignant, real moments where Mr. Ford leans on his life experienced wisdom. Altogether delish. Thank you, Pete!

I like British cozy mysteries and this one had a decent start. I’m looking forward to the next one with Slater and a new partner.
