Very good camera especially for the price.
I am a repeat customer of this brand of camera. The cameras that I purchased before have worked well with very few issues, and now they have updated their cameras and their app to a more customizable experience. I look forward to purchasing additional cameras in the future to further protect my home and property. If you are looking for a cheap, but effective security camera with a easy to use app in my opinion you can't go wrong buying this brand.

A very good quality product with unusable motion capture functionality
I purchased two of these cameras approximately four months ago. They have been in continual operation since. The overall review is four stars, with one significant caveat that could make this a one star camera depending on your needs. In a nutshell, from best to worst:10/10 Video quality is excellent, including night mode10/10 Customer support, available only via email, is excellent8/10 The control application (iOS for me) is quite good7/10 The web interface (yes, there is one, albeit not quite documented) is good7/10 The build quality is excellent, the continual operation and connectivity is good4/10 Audio quality is poor, tinny, hard to communicate through and hear back1/10 Motion capture (the significant caveat) is practically worthlessIf you want the details and some perhaps extraneous commentary, read on.Video Quality (10/10)As a 1080P device, it captures video excellently. The images are crisp, detail can be blown up somewhat, but don't expect high megapixel type results. Night mode, when the IR functionality is enabled, is great. You can turn IR functionality off, which allows the camera to operate in stealth mode (see below, LED disabling), albeit then you will see nothing at night.Customer Support (10/10)I contacted them twice, to inquire about functionality I could not find but that did exist. The first time they responded within 30 minutes even though it was likely in the wee hours of the morning for them. They answered my question. The second time I had a bit more elaborate of a question, and to my suprise, they answered with a PDF file saying "take a look at this", which I thought was a bit dismissive, but when I opened the PDF it was exactly what I was looking for. That response took all of four hours to get. I don't think I've ever seen that quick and accurate a response rate. Kudos to them. The Control Application (8/10)Yes, you will likely need to download the Faleemi app to make use of the camera, though it is possible to configure everything including initial setup without it (not recommended). My experience on both cameras was that setup went without a hitch using the app.You can, with the app, easily, enable/disable recordings, view up to four camera feeds at once (or as many as I believe 16 cameras individually), and, per camera, pan/tilt, enable the microphone to speak through (as well as, of course, to listen), and enable/disable alerts, as well as manage the connectivity and user setup. Do not, however, attempt to view recorded videos through the app, it is painstakingly slow. Use the web interface instead (see below, plus the extra features only available through it).The app is a bit kludgey in that some functionality's meaning may be hard to understand, and some features that are not on the camera show up as a viable option (input arming, for example, which would tie the camera to a supported alarm system, but which this camera does not have the functionality for). Some areas are not of the best English translation (particularly so in the web interface) so having in-app help would have been nice. There is some, but it's very, very limited. That said, the menus are well organized and once you navigate them a bit they become fairly intuitive. The Web Interface (7/10)You can access perhaps 85% of the camera's features through the Faleemi app. To get to 100%, and you likely will need to, you connect through the camera's web interface. The fact that the camera has an HTTP interface is not exactly promoted in the marketing materials, perhaps to avoid a newbie from making ill-advised changes. Regardless, once you find the camera in your IP list you can access it directly from a web browser. The welcome screen is a two-option video mode selection, so you can view the camera's live video output from the browser. For me (OSX), neither selection works, perhaps because I have not bothered to figure out what plugin is missing in Safari. However, note that viewing live video through the web interface may also not work for you.The web interace is also used to get to the camera's setup. Here you can change IP parameters and get the MAC address (if you wish to have the camera filtered by such in your wireless setup). For me, there were four main reasons to access the interface which cannot be done via the app:1. To download video files from the camera. While you can do this from the app, it is painstakingly slow. Accessing the SD card directly to perform an HTTP download is the only real way to get to the files within a reasonable amount of time. Note you must have an SD card to record to, there is no built-in memory on the camera. The method is a bit hidden. Browse to the camera's IP address, select a video mode (doesn't matter which), then Set Up, then Storage, then SD/TF Management, then Check SD/TF. At this point you will see a directory listing. Go into sdcard/, then plan_record/, and there you will see the recordings grouped by date. BTW, sdcard/, then alarm_snap holds the pictures taken as a result of a motion capture alarm trigger.2. To test the email connection for alarms. You can set up alarms to trigger based on motion (not effective, see below) from the app. However, it can be frustrating to determine if the setup has worked as there is no test connection functionality in the app. Well, there is in the web interface. Go into it, find the alarms section, fill in the email account you wish to use, and then press test connection.3. To disable the operational LED's.If you are trying to use the camera as some sort of nanny-cam, well, perhaps try something else. This is not a large camera (about the size of a baseball plus about a one cubic inch stand), but it is hard to miss. However, having the blue wireless connection LED always on, and the red "I'm recording" you LED come on when doing so is something you may want to do without. The web interface allows you to turn both off, under System, Others. The setting sticks throughout power cycles.4. To access the time when it will and will not generate motion alarms. Can't do this from the app, but the web interface has a 24x7 calendar grid with hourly increments where you can specify when the camera will issue a motion trigger or not. Go to Setup, Alarm, Armed Time.Build Quality and Connectivity (7/10)The camera just feels solid. It won't tip over. It pans and tilts easily. Connectivity is excellent or good: of the two cameras, one has not needed a reboot in four months and it remains connected. The other had to be rebooted twice, once because it would no longer be seen on the network; the other because it would no longer see the SD card which had remained in it throughout. It does not come in black (at least not this particular model).Audio Quality (4/10)I really wish this aspect was better, but I bought the camera to see what was going on and not particularly to hear what was going on. The microphone seems to be tuned to capturing high frequency sounds and has a strangely responding gain curve. Anything shrill, like a young child yelling, will pierce your ears when listening to the recording. Any loud sound occurring afer a moment of silence will seem like a wall came crashing down or a door was slammed off its hinges, when neither happened. The recorded volume is extremely low. I have mine set at the default 70% volume, and even through amplified speakers the sound is low and voices are hard to understand. Forget listening to audio over the app or on your laptop; the volume just won't be enough. Speaking through the speaker to someone at the camera's location is a bit better (you can enable and disable the speaker remotely, so that you can listen without the camera location hearing you).Motion capture (1/10)If I had tried this when I first bought the cameras they might have just gone back to Amazon. After four months, I don't miss the functionality since I just use the cameras to peek around when I travel and make sure everything still looks ok. And you can record video continually to the SD card with auto-overlap, and it will accept large SD cards that take more than a week to fill up (I have 128Gb cards in each), plus you can record to an offsite location via FTP (not verified by me). But as a deterrent the motion capture functionality is unacceptable. The capture mechanism appears to be based solely on light exposure. This means that any change in lighting within the camera's field of view (which, admittedly, is large) may trigger a motion alert. There are three levels of sensitivity. At the lowest and medium levels, well, nothing is captured, no matter what. I could jump, wave my arms, do a little dance, lights on, lights off, no capture at all. Standing three feet from the camera. I guess I'm just not dense enough to stop enough light from getting to the camera's sensor. On the highest setting, ah, well, any, and I mean any, change in light will generate a trigger. Dawn is coming, here are your ten alerts. Evening is occurring, here are ten more. Oh look, some clouds came by, have another couple of alerts. As I sit here writing this review, I've just gotten three more alerts. Granted, at the highest setting, if I walk between a light source (like a window) and the camera, it will gladly take my picture. Still, I can walk right in front of it at that highest sensitivity setting, and as long as I'm not blocking a lamp or window the camera won't care. Normally, I just leave the alerts off. If you are buying this camera just for the alert functionality, don't, unless you are willing to trade off 20 to 30 alerts per day, per camera, just to catch someone blocking a window or artificial light source.Other comments:You cannot turn the camera off unless you unplug it. You can turn recordings on and off, but not the camera itself, so if it's plugged in, the video feed is active. Perhaps one could use a Wi-Fi plug like the TP-Link 105 (which is quite good) to turn the camera on and off remotely.Power up takes a while (30 seconds to 3 minutes). Don't despair if you plug it in and nothing at all happens for 30 seconds or more. If nothing happens after three minutes, well, start the despair. So, is it worth the about $40 asking price? Are there better cameras out there for a similar amount? Honestly, for what I've seen, this is probably better overall, if you can live without the alerts, which are also a pain with other manufacturer models I've used before. I guess it's too much to ask to have a radio wave (radar, sonar) or IR Heat motion capture option at this price point, and so most cameras seem to just go the light intensity route. If you don't mind the multiple daily false alerts, or don't need the alert functionality, it's a great buy. If not, try something else but be ready to have similar results.

Will not work with older ( and better) app
Will not work with the old ( and far better ) app . says "wrong DID" or some nonsense. The NEW app is garbage.. only allows you to see your camera in a quad view, cant control it at all using android. Dont know if the older one can pair with the new app.. doesnt matter if you cant control or view in full screen.

Camera works great, App, not so much..
It's a great little camera, and works well so far. The only negative I can put on this is that the app continuously loses connection to the camera. You have to stop the app, and restart it to connect to the camera again. It's a little hard to find information if you want to use the camera with a different application to monitor it.

Amazing camera at great price.
I bought this to be used as a baby monitor. While the baby is coming we've been using this as a security camera. This camera is fantastic.Setting up takes less than 3 minutes from the moment I plugged it in. It does everything in the descriptions. Pan tilt, zoom. The speaker is fantastic. The two way audio was clear. The best part is the app. You can access everything from across the country. There are a lot of features that's build in to this app. To notch. Highly recommended

Good All-Round Camera, Easy to Use
Even with a wired home security system, there are bound to be some holes where it's just not worth running hard-wire cameras into the system. This guy can fill in those holes. And like security system cameras, there's nothing covert about it, you just can't hide it. But it's versatile because it can be set up anywhere a WiFi signal reaches. Set-up is easy and straight-forward. Powered by USB (power only; no data transmission), it can go just about anywhere. PTZ is very handy, even if the lag time between inputting a command and seeing the results on-screen is a bit long. Motion detection is almost too good: moths tend to fly around it at night (probably the IR lights), and that sets off the motion alarm. Makes an excellent pet camera and inside-garage security monitor. I plan to buy another one or two.

Use the QR code and have your wifi password handy and it is a pretty smoothe start up.
I haven't figured out the sound part yet but this seems to be up and running, as described on a number of devices and delivering some high quality cat monitoring!

Worked fine for a while, then just stopped responding after a firmware update
Its funny how things fail just out of warranty right? Almost like they planned it right? Reminds me of Apple purposely slowing down old devices to try and force apple bootlickers into buying a new phone.I bought something else to replace this after the firmware update rendered it permanently unresponsive despite multiple factory resets etc.
