This is a set of paddle holders for your kayak that has a mounting rail already installed. Depending on the length of the rail, and what else you have mounted to it, this item could be installed for "across the boat" application, or down one side application. Across the boat is definitely easier, but some people do not want to have themselves "pinned" into the boat (even though the paddle is easily removed in the event you capsize). I use my kayak for fishing, and it's nice to be able to stow the paddle so that I have my hands free, but also not worry about it falling overboard.

In order to install these on my kayak I had to remove the threaded locking tab, and slide it in from the top. Not a big deal. The tabs are too thick to slide into the ends of the rails on my kayak. But they install fine.The locking tabs have rounded corners, so they can pivot a little once they are in. They are not the full width of the rail. So they do wobble somewhat when the paddle of fastened on from the weight. If the locking tab were full width it would have more surface area.The rollers do grab solidly though. They do hold the paddle fairly well on their own. Which helps since the rubber straps aren't really all that tight. They do provide a little more safety but would be nice if they held a little tighter.Overall they do work fairly well and are decently priced for what you get.

These are great track mount paddle holders. If you kayak fish you have to have a couple of track mounts on your kayak. They give you unlimited mounting options for gear. These paddle holders simplify mounting a pole anchor or paddle. I would compare these to the more expensive yak products. They are well made and work really well. I am using them for my pole anchor. They are working out great. Definitely recommend.

After dropping my paddle in the water, this became a must. The install was all of 2 minutes and they work like they are supposed to. They slide into my t tracks like they were mad for each other. I love the little safety strap. It came in handy when I whacked my paddle with my knee. It came out of the holder, but stayed attached. I no longer have anxiety about losing my paddle any more.
