At 0.12 amps times 12 volts these use only roughly 1.44 watts of power each, which is quite a small amount for how bright and attractive they are. The wires are rather thin, enough for the lights to work fine, just a little tricky to splice into larger circuits. These did not get hot even after being left on for an hour. The sticky on the back works, but it isn't the strongest, you need to press and HOLD to make it stick well enough to leave it. The material is fairly fragile, even with these not stuck on fully I managed to rip two apart just trying to peel them back to readjust the angle a little, and sadly these are NOT the kind where the broken off sections still work, each damaged one was out for good. Obviously try to be careful and get these right the first time, but some minor adjusting isn't uncommon, especially with how hard it is to work with these in tight spaces when the back is trying to stick to everything it shouldn't and not what it should. Overall I quite liked these as a value set, for some accent lighting in DIY projects these did fine, but they are definitely not very tough, and I wouldn't trust them to harsh conditions, myself.

Apparently, it is not legal to have red or blue ground lighting effects on your vehicle. I would presume also that it can't be anywhere on the outside of your car. Lesson learned. But OMG, it looked so awesome on my red truck. If you're going to get ground lighting effects, get white, purple, yellow, or maybe green.For the short period of time these lights were on my truck, they stuck well. I cleaned the area thoroughly before application. You don't want grease or dirt between your vehicle and the sticky.

I was able to cut them and they still work. In the LED strip there are small LEDs and a small but visible shiny metal connector just after every third LED. I cut it at this point. You may be able to cut it off elsewhere but I didn't try that. I put a small amount of silicone based glue on the cut end to protect from water damage just to be careful. It probably helps electrical insulation as well. The strip is extruded in a clear soft silicone like material. The glue/gel adheres well to the cut end. Length may be a factor so I don't recommend a particular lengths as they may not work. You will have to experiment to find out if any length will work. I can only convey I could cut as described and they still work. The silicone sealer simply made me feel better about the cut end and I was unable to salvage the remaining cutoff end pieces. I used glue when ever it felt right but that's just me.My confidence has gone up as it really draws attention to me when I am in dark areas.
