Hercules (Piano/Vocal/guitar Songbook)

Alan Menken was the king of Disney and had the magic touch when it came to making his songs sound magical and unique. He was so talented at arranging that he could make you feel like you were in the middle of an Arabian desert (Aladdin), in an enchanted Victorian ball room (Beauty and the Beast), or fathoms under a big open sea (The Little Mermaid). This music brings you back to a time when Greece was in the middle of its mythology and the Gods were believed to control ever aspect of the earth. The music is simply amazing and sounds like it could have came off of Broadway. These songs are all arranged very professionally and if played right, can sound like you are a professional. There aren't many songs in this book, but it includes every song from the movie, the beautiful solo Go the Distance, to the quirky One Last Hope, to the gospel sounding Zero to Hero. Many Disney fans will recognize these classical songs and children of the 90s will be fond of this music since we grew up with these Disney classics, which are much better than the CGI Pixar movies of today, no offense to you fans but those come nowhere near these 90s cartoon animations. Anyways its all here and this book is what you are looking for if you liked the music of Hercules and can play piano, it is arranged as if it came directly from the Disney song writing legend Alan Menken.

I don’t want to do this review but I cannot scroll through the last piece of music without being interrupted with prompts to review. It is extremely annoying. Otherwise the book is fine. And now I have to keep on going to make sure that this is long enough word count wise to be able to submit.

I do wish i had done more research before buying the product for it is what it says it is but currently is too hard for me, i wish i had found something more suited towards me, even if it was the broadway version i think i would have enjoyed it a bit more than what i received. however if this is what you are looking for than i do highly suggest it because it is really a great product, it just doesn't fit what i was needing/looking for.

This book is great BUT it is hard like the reviews say. It’s a good challenge. 100% like the actual soundtrack.

I bought this book originally for "Go the Distance" which is my favorite song from the movie. I was very pleased with the whole book. I love playing the songs in it. I've played piano for 8 1/2 years and find the songs right up near my level.The book shipped within a few days and I got it in about a week. I think that anyone who loves the movie and wants the music would love this book. It's perfect, and the pictures inside are beautiful.

Se ve bien el libro, aunque me hubiera gustado que las imágenes que contiene fuesen a color, las partituras de cada melodía no son de nivel principiante y eso me agrada.
