Great product, very expensive
I love these. They make my tool chest look great. It’s a little ridiculous how expensive these are but I have just purchased another 2 sets and will definitely purchase again when my tool collection expands. The top and bottom pieces actually stick together really well which enhances the look of the foam and keeps all my tools exactly where I want them without the foam pieces slipping away from each other. On a side note: Make sure you have something that can cut foam. I used a combination of a box knife and an electric foam cutter and they both work great on this foam. The electric foam cutter worked great for the tight, more intricate cuts.

Decent product but expensive
I had high hopes for this foam as I am trying to organize my garage. I found it overall a decent product but there are some problems with it. First, the backing for the adhesive is very slick so trying to stencil each tool is a challenge since most markers will not stick and the only one I found to work was easily wiped off. Second, the foam is sturdy but hard to cut with a blade. I didn't want to spend another $100 on a hot knife cutter and in fairness straight lines are not easy to make when you can barely see the line you draw (see issue one). Finally, the adhesive is great but I found that the layer would pull away in some places when you removed the white backing.Anyway, with all that said, it turned out ok and my tools are easier to find now. I am not a perfectionist so the odd cuts and curvy lines are ok with me and I will probably use more of this stuff later on. There really isn't a better option.

Very clean looking
I bought the red and black foam set to line my work tools. I work with very fine tweezers and needed something to protect the tips so they don’t get bent. The foam was easy to cut but I changed out my utility blade pretty often. That’s normal though when you’re trying to organize tools in foam. I did think these were a bit spendy. I certainly wouldn’t do my whole tool box at home. It would just be too expensive. That being said, the quality of the foam was good and sturdy. I guess you’ll have to decide if the price is worth it to you.

Great product, steep price
I wanted to organize my tool box so decided to copy the way the military does it. This is the same style foam they use with the contrasting colors. The end result is great. To get to the result, it is very time consuming to cut by hand. I recommend using sharpie to trace your tools as pens and pencils will easily wipe off. Change blades often and it makes it easier. My biggest complaint about the foam is the price. You could easily spend more in this brands foam than you do on your tool box. I searched far and wide for an alternative that would be close to this and it was difficult and due to time constraints of needing this project done I was forced to pay a premium. Another note, their website said this would fit my craftsmen toolbox but was about 1/4 too big. Not a huge deal just another cut to do.If this product was half the price, I would organize my entire life with it

This product does not cut like shadow foam.
This foam came with a black sheet of dense cellular foam and a separate yellow thinner foam of the same material. I guess the manufacturer expects you to glue the 2 colors together yourself. It is clearly pictured as 1 piece in the listing. They call it Shadow Foam which is not true. This is nothing like Shadow Foam, there are not 1/8 inch layers to peel back until you get to the desired depth.I have built 3 tool boxes using shadow foam all of them came out perfectly. I did not have a mis-cut and every tool sits at it's correct depth in the foam and is held tightly for travel.STAY AWAY from this product. I messaged the seller and received no response when I was trying to work with his product. I ended up buying actual Shadow Foam from a different seller and got what I expected. I was not over charged for a few pieces of regular foam and the foam came in separate sheet thick black and thin yellow. They expect you to glue the colors together. What a joke!!!

Pricey but exceptional.....
Great speed off shipping. This is a phenomenal product. May be a bit on the pricey side, but it is everything you want. My images may not be great but I was able to cut in and place everything that I wantedI will add and quantify a previous reviewer's point. I do have a hot knife.... (highly recommend) but definately mark the non adhesive side with a fine sharpie or roller ball before cutting.I will be ordering 3 more of these sheets to finish out my box at work....

High Quality, just need patience for the cutting process
Ordered multiple sheets of this foam for my toolbox at work. It is 2 separate pieces (the top piece has an adhesive backing to stick to the bottom sheet once you are done cutting). It was pretty much exactly as I was expecting as it is very similar to what is used in the toolboxes I used while in the Navy. I would advise to have a few new blades on hand if you plan on doing more than one drawer or a large amount of cutouts. I did 11 drawers and went through about 6 or 7 blades. The foam is just really rigid and after about 10-15 cutouts it was pretty much just ripping the foam, not cutting it. It does take patience but the end product is sharp looking. Foam is high quality and will last a long time. I have no complaints other than the need for fresh razor/exacto blades every so often but its not that bad.
