Tabby Fidgety Cat - Weighted Lap Cat - Sensory Activity for Seniors

Bought this for my 94yr old mum,who has dementia.She used to keep cats and loves this,it’s never off her lap! She strokes and twiddles with it and it comforts her as sometimes she gets anxious.Im very grateful to have found something that calms her.Very well made and excellent value.Would thoroughly recommend for any dementia sufferer.

A life long cat lover mum at 94 is now in care home sadly bedridden with Dementia. She loves this cat talks to it along with stroking and looking after it - it’s even persuaded her to take medicine when told we can’t feed it until she has taken her meds!!! It doesn’t really look like a cat but it’s shape and weight make it just right. It’s lovely to see mum so happy and contented.

I bought this as a gift for the autistic brother of my besty. I couldn't resist having a peek because I was curious. It feels very soft and I love the chunky beads, and how well made it is. I think a bit more weight would be nice, I wonder if we could have a heavier weighted option for those who would like it, I wouldn't mind one myself come to that. We'll have to see how he receives it, but I'm hopeful.

‘Cuddle Cat’ as we call it is fine for Alzheimer’s ‘fidget fingers’... it’s also comforting to cuddle when tucked under the blanket...

At first sight the cat does not look worth the money as there are not many fidgety items attached to it, However, I work in a home for elderly dementia residents and when I took this cat to a person who doesn't say a lot, it brought the biggest smile to her face and that was worth more than money so for me it was absolutely worth it. The cat is soft and cuddly and can be washed.

I'm not Autistic or have Dementia but I have been a "hair twirler" all my life. I recently had to have a very short haircut and wasn't prepared for the emotional loss of my hair, especially when I'm anxious. This little cat is perfect for twiddling my fingers and I'm definitely less anxious. I specifically bought the one that stated it had a pocket but I'm not keen on the plastic texture of the pocket. I love everything else about it though.

This is an excellent thing for my wife who has dementia. It is very strongly made and keeps my wife happy when she in the lounge or anywhere in the care home. It's a must have when I take her out in the car as it stops her undoing her seatbelt. She has had other things to fiddle with but pulls them apart but not this cat.Excellent Product

A little disappointed with this item, a lot smaller than expected and does not feel weighted apart from at the end of the tail. For the price I would not reccomend.
