when plugged in to a audio source, Ii have 2 or 3 bars flickering like there picking up some interference. any solutions?

Got something similar happening with many bands even when there is minimal audio input. The problem appears to be a poor connection between the 1/8" plug and the socket on the analyser. What I have done is remove the plug, clean it, re-insert it and check. If that doesn't immediately solve the issue, I twist the plug in the socket until I get it to a position that zero input registers nothing on the analyser.
