Cancel meal delivery services and get this cookbook
This is a great cookbook for someone who is learning how to get a whole meal on the table quickly. It takes the thought out of making sure the veggies are put in timely so they come out when the meat is done. Or remembering to chop all your herbs and veggies so you don't have to wash your cutting board after trimming up your meat. I loved all the big beautiful pictures with each recipe. Many Pinterest “quick recipes” call for a specific branded (sponsored) ingredients or processed foods. You won’t find that here. Recipes call for tomato sauce which you season into spaghetti sauce or enchilada sauce. That gives you a lot of control and money savings. Some cuts of meat were a little harder to find at my store, but make friends with the people behind the meat counter. They can tell you a suitable replacement (or alternative name) or make it up for you.A few things to note. We have a preschooler who is still working on trying new foods. Many of these recipes are a bit of a stretch for her and we don’t make separate meals. Something to keep in mind if you have small kids at home. However, if I were just feeding my husband and myself, this would not be an issue. I’d be up for trying all the recipes once. This is probably an issue with all cookbooks or meal delivery services at this phase of life.Next, many of the recipes require a grill. I’m sure you could use a grill pan to cook these foods, but you will find yourself limited, especially with beef recipes, if you don’t have access to a grill. This book did inspire me to get more comfortable with grilling since it’s such a fast way to cook food. Finally, I tried checking this book out from my library in a digital format. However, all the pictures make this really difficult to read/work from. All the recipes are laid out to fit on a 2 page flat spread. No turning pages while cooking. So smart! They thought of everything. Therefore, I would recommend skipping this cookbook in any kind of digit form.If you wanted to try Hello Fresh, Blue Apron, Home Chef, etc, but don’t have the budget, this is a great cookbook for you. It’s like having all the recipe cards from those services, but with recipes you can actually get the ingredients for from your grocery store. (No “dump this seasoning packet” instructions here.)

Great Recipes! Easy to Follow!
I got this very recently and have made three recipes, including a tofu recipe, out of this cookbook. My husband and I dislike tofu. Despite this, I trusted my bestie and tried the tofu lettuce cups. Y’all if this cookbook can get my carnivore anti tofu husband to eat tofu and not hate it, it’s awesome! We have liked all 3 recipes we have made so far and I’m excited to cook more! The cookbook itself has a great layout with really helpful notes and instructions to make each meal sing! The pictures also help you know what things should look like. Each recipe is easy to follow and they don’t take long to cook!I love to cook and I have had a hard time coming up with dinner ideas since I’ve been home. (2020 sucks am I right?) BUT this cookbook has me excited about cooking and excited to try new recipes. If you get this cookbook be prepared to have a hard time picking out what to make first. So far we have loved everything!

Best Cookbook In My Collection!
LOVE THIS BOOK! I've enjoyed ATK's books for many years, but this one is especially marvelous. The recipes are delicious, the ingredients don't break the bank, and you really can make a scrumptious, home-cooked meal in an hour or less. I've made several so far and have no complaints--and I'm picky. I really love this new format--notes on the left, ingredients on the right, and the steps (8 or so per recipe) laid out on the bottom of the pages with a photo for each step.Someone below remarked on there not being enough white space in the book, and I disagree. This one is easy to read--especially while you are cooking (you know, when you are running around the kitchen trying to get everything together). There aren't any surprise steps or ingredients either--you know the ones, you get halfway into the recipe and realize you were supposed to divide an ingredient earlier or what have you--it's all there. So simple.Lastly, all the recipes I've made so far have felt like quality restaurant dining. The meals are not greasy, they are nutritious and balanced (in my opinion). The flavors are bright, fresh, and the recipes are new and exciting. I cannot say enough good things. If you are on the fence about adding another cookbook to your collection, I can assure you that this is one NOT to pass up. You will love it! Trust me!

This is the cookbook I’ve been looking for.
I usually buy kindle ebooks for economy and instant gratification. I purchased the hard copy of this book as the kindle version was the same price! (Expensive kindle book)This book is absolutely packed with useable want to make recipes and my favourite thing is that ALL recipes and processes are photographed.I completely recommend this cook book for both learner cooks and busy people looking for simple but sophisticated meal ideas.

Great recipes
This is my favorite cookbook by far. I love America's Test Kitchen, but this is one that i use often. Lots of pictures and step-by-step instructions. You can also customize the dinner menu by picking and choosing from the different dinners.... like a protein from one, and a side from another. It also helps you manage your time to stay on task. There are a lot of recipes that my very picky family loves. Lots of yummy protein and veggie options.
