Unbelievable fit, finish and function for the money. Good japanese tough steel. Easy to sharpening.

I've been looking for a budget friendly fixed blade survival knife for a few months now. I've searched all the brands I could find on YouTube and by searching Amazon. I saw quite a few good reviews about this knife and kept circling back to it as all the other knives were missing either the 90 degree spine, a good quality sheath, were not made with good enough steel, etc.. I kept circling back to this knife because it seemed to have everything I was looking for, so I finally ordered it. I just got it in the mail today and have not had the chance to use it, but it's made a great first impression! It has an extremely comfortable grip with a nice rubber coating on the handle. The weight of the knife is just right- not too heavy, but not so light that it feels like it will break under hard use and the blade is razor sharp right out of the box! The sheath feels like quality and there is no rattle so you know the knife is secure. I can't wait to use this knife! I think it will be well worth the $36 I spent on it.

The quality of this knife is outstanding. For the money it cannot be beat. Fits great in my hands. Great addition to my Cold Steel Tanto which is much longer and heavier. In the woods the Tanto would be for cutting firewood, this would be a great all around knife. Perfect size for a belt sheath. A no brainer at this price.

I haven’t put this knife to work yet but it’s the perfect size. Not too big or small. Fairly sharp out of the box, and definitely greased up. This knife is much lighter than I expected but I’m sure it’ll hold up to some light tasks.A good comparison, which I own, would be the SOG Seal Pup. However, I think that knife is of better quality (seems more firm).Overall, for the price, this was a great buy. I’m a big fan of Cold Steel.Also, for any one just reading this, the most widely available knife sharpener (that’s free), is a vehicle’s window. Just roll it down and take a few swipes on each side, the length of the blade. You could even use the bottom of a coffee mug (preferably a ceramic mug that has the little circular lip on the bottom).

Looks great , well balanced , very strong full tang and drop point design. Perfect for hunters and campers. Can't beat the price.

The smaller handle (versus the larger size SRK) is properly sized for this knife, as the blade is smaller in every dimension. I didn't like the handle size or weight previously because I had just purchased a standard SRK and I was more into choppier blades at the time.. Significantly lighter than the standard SRK but still balances nicely.Sheath issues that I had previously have been fixed with the newer one.Sharp out of the box. I filed the spine to make it a scraper, spark thrower. Been practicing fire-making and that includes batoning up 2 - 3" seasoned beech. Makes fine shavings and splits well. Currently favored over my Moras and my ESEE 3. I like the saber grind, kind of puts it between a scandi and a flat grind, there is no hollow grinding on the C model.

Works great for the basic house tasks I put it through. Amazon box opening, marshmallow stick sharpening, garden work, camping knife for whatever job comes up. I'm not using it to chop logs or take down an army so I haven't beaten it too badly to test it's limits. That said the blade has held up well with minimal stone sharpening, the grip is nice for me and hasn't shown any major signs of wear, sheath seems decent but I typically just put the knife w/sheath inside a pack if I'm in the outdoors. I wear L to XL gloves depending on the brand. The grip on the SRK-C fits me just fine although I will say the regular SRK fills my hand a slight bit better.

I wanted a knife to attach to my day pack. This comes with a kydex sheath and was easy to attach with paracord to my pack strap. I mounted it tip up for easy access and the kydex sheath keeps it locked in. The length is sufficient for normal camp tasks and comes sharp.It is coated in oil when shipped so take the time to clean it or the oil will stain your clothes or pack.

This knife is no nonsense, straight to business. It's likely the best built knife I've ever bought, and fits in lightly with my Kabar BK2. Very light knife, nice and slim, solid as can be. Well worth the roughly $80 I paid. I can see why military use it.

Das Messer kam wirklich extrem scharf an. Die Scheide ist deutlich hochwertiger als die Scheiden von vielen teuren Messern. Das Messer selbst liegt durch den Kraton Griff extrem sicher in der Hand. Selbst wenn die Hände nass sind, es rutscht nichts. Es spaltet mit leichtigkeit Feuerholz, man kann super damit hacken und es schnitzt mindestens so gut wie das berühmte Mora Garberg (hab beide). Hab das Messer sehr ausgiebig getestet und geradezu mishandelt und es ist noch genau so scharf wie frisch aus der Box. Und das alles für 60 €! Für mich ein unglaublich gutes Messer das ich immer wieder kaufen würde!

Über SRK wurde vieles gutes geschrieben. Es stimmt alles. Klare Kaufempfehlung. Das mitführen in DE ist aber eingeschränkt.

This knife is amazing as a survival/bushcraft knife.
