Dream Crochet Hooks - Beautiful and Easy to Use!
Like many crocheters, I own all kinds of hooks: aluminum, plastic, steel, resin and even the kind with bamboo handles which have been my favorite for years. We crafters are always trying to find the right fit. I bought these hooks for my birthday, mostly because I thought they were very pretty. I've used them heavily for a little more than a week and been pleasantly surprised.Visually, these things are gorgeous. Expect to get a lot of compliments, as I did from my crochet group! The coloring is not overstated, but reminds me of an art piece. The hooks are amazingly light compared to any other type of crochet hook I've used. They feel good in the hand, slide through all kinds of yarns like a breeze, with no snagging or friction. The sizes they provide will be sufficient for 90% of your crocheting needs, unless you're doing thread crochet or using jumbo yarn. These are some of the finest hooks I've ever used - and goodness knows, I've spent a small fortune on crochet sets over the past 40 years.I was worried that they wouldn't be ergonomically pleasing, but it's not bad at all. I have arthritis in my hands and because the hooks are so light, it doesn't hurt my hands. It took me about 1/2 hour to adjust to this new tool from my go-to hooks (aluminum with bamboo handles). Once I got my muscle memory, though, it was smooth sailing. I also changed hooks in the middle of a project to ensure that the knit picks hook size was accurate, and I can't tell where I stopped and started. That means the sizes of these hooks are spot on.My only complaint, like others here, is that the hook sizes are not marked. I really wanted to remove them from their plastic case and insert them into a fabric case which is prettier and easier to transport. In fact, I had purchased a special case for them, only to decide against it. I believe if you ever take out more than one from the pack or lose the insert telling you what size they are, it will take quite a bit to figure out what size is what. I wish there was a way to just carve or wood burn the size into the side of the hook. I tried using a small sticker with the size on the back end of the hook, but it wouldn't stick, and I"m unwilling to permanently alter my new hooks. I called KnitPicks and gave them this feedback, and they couldn't give me a good alternative without messing up the hook itself. In the meantime, I'm purchasing a Susan Bates hook sizer (http://www.amazon.com/gp/huc/view.html?ie=UTF8&newItems=C22DA2BXZB3IOP%2C1) in case I get lost!Bottom line: What wonderful crochet hooks! They are beautiful, don't snag on anything, breeze through all kinds of yarns, and are going to be replacing my eleventybillion other sets! They're not much more expensive than other quality hooks at your local craft / yarn store, (about $5/hook here) and completely worth it. I have a feeling that they will be part of my world for a long time to come!

My favorite crochet hooks!
Not on)y are these absolutely gorgeous hooks, they're also durable and comf. Very smooth, and the wood is gentle on my hands. It almost feels warm as I work with them. The metal hooks always feel cold and uncomfortable, so I love how these feel.

Good hooks
I have had these hooks for about a month, and have done a couple projects with them. The larger hooks (my favorite size is a 5.00 mm) feel sturdy, but I'm still careful when using them so I don't bend it wrong. The small hooks are indeed flimsy, that being said. It is WOOD. I don't expect them to be sturdy because they are twigs. If you are careful using them they should last. The soft sleek feel of wood, even if I have to remind myself to be careful, is worth it for me. And I love the color. Will update if or when they break

Good crochet hooks but...
The only problem I got two 5.5mm 6.00 instead of the 3.00mm 4.00 which is missing. This is the reason I did not give them a 5 star review. (It seems I am not the only one to point that out)Otherwise, great hooks smooth and quite pretty. Mind you I have just about most of known brands my favorite being the Japanese Crochets which I think are the best.Going back to these: Head is tapered and round yet pointy enough, although I am used to the in-lined type like Susan Bates the head of these ones are not as raised sort of a mix or between so they are smooth to work with. If they had a bigger set I would get it, cause they are practical to have and carry around which is the reason I purchased in the first place. They come in a very nice plastic box with lots of space for more crochet hooks and accessories.

Best Needles Around
These needles are about as perfect as you can get. They’re comfortable, lightweight, ergonomic, and easy to hold. The head is shaped slender with a deep notch which both holds the yarn firmly and yet slides through the smallest stitches with ease. A bonus is the looks- they are beautifully pressed birch wood with an aqua blue green hue that is very eye catching. I’ve had many compliments on these needles, and friends keep asking to borrow them!

absolutely gorgeous
After eyeing these hooks for a year, I got myself a set last month. They are gorgeous and everything I wanted. The hooks are smooth and easy to hold as well as lightweight. I do wish the hooks had the sizing marked on them but understand why that wasn't possible. The case they come in is durable and has a reusable snap as well as clearly marked sizes though.

Oddly shaped heads
I wanted to like these hooks, but I just couldn't get past the weird shape of the hook head itself. It's oddly long and difficult for me to crochet with. The blunted tip also makes it difficult to work into stitches (I like to have a point I can jab into a stitch, especially the hard to find ones on row ends.)Unfortunately, I returned these.

A smooth clean stitch
It took maybe a second to get used to it. Compared to the other wooden and metal hooks this is by far the best. Nice smooth stitches, no snag, no hang ups. The price was great! Love the product!! The short cable will do but I prefer longer. That is no big deal.

Beautiful Hooks
These hooks are my new favourites to use. They are beautifully made and handle well. Only drawback was that the hooks don't have sizes on them, but still worth it.
