Hold my Beer!
Excellent little gadget! I have a mini table that clamps to the mic stand and I put the song list there as well as other paper notes, and I use it for my drink too, but the hassle of picking up the drink to see the notes or song list has always been a chore... not a terrible chore but still. It would get worse when having a drink and a bottle of water. This makes my gigging life much easier. I can put my water, beer, drink etc... on this and keep my mini table less cluttered. This holder is lightweight, but sturdy enough. It is not the sturdiest, but strong enough for my drink or water. Some people say it does not hold fully perpendicular to the floor... that is what the pivot ball connection is for... just adjust to your liking. The grasping arms are strong and hold the drink secure, and the mic clamps are decent. The holder comes with shims to make the clamps smaller and tighter, just in case your mic stand is on the thinner side.Overall, I am happy with this cup holder, it is just what I needed. I would recommend to any musician for their gigs. The price point is excellent too!

This Works, $20 Seems Like Lot For A Few Springs And Plastic.
This reminds me of the design of 'pop-out' cup holders in older cars. (the ones that you could 'hide away').It does its job, held a 44oz pop without breaking and smaller stuff was just fine. For what it is, its kind of a gimmick. After thinking about it, when we do karaoke parties, I am much happier with a side table for drinks, vs. setting up for spilling liquids around sensitive electronics I have no interest in replacing.Versatile attachment, so multiple applications. Well designed. Just over priced.

Very handy little gadget, it will be on my mic stand for every rehearsal.
When I received this cup holder, it came in a small cardboard box that had been ripped open, and the parts were just flopping around inside the delivery bag. Looked it over for damage and there was none - so it's all good. Assembly was a breeze, but it took a moment to figure out how to use the extra rubber piece, but even changing out the rubber grips is very simple. I've tried this holder on several different styles and diameters of stands (including a guitar stand) and it holds firmly and stays where I put it. The springs on the arms that hold the drink in place are quite strong and secure. I really like that you can mount it on a cross bar, boom arm or almost any vertical stand. My one and only complaint is that to insert a cup or bottle using only one hand (the other holding an instrument?) I have to tilt the bottle at about a 40-degree angle in order to get the arms to open enough to insert the bottle. Which means that if the bottle is open, be careful not to spill it when putting it in the holder. I am happy with this cup/bottle holder - it keeps my water close by, off the floor, and prevents it from getting knocked over.

I wasn't sure what to expect but am pleasantly surprised.
As a small-time musician, I play a lot of outdoor gigs in the summer around our area. As one of the singers in my band, I tend to drink a lot of water on a hot day. So, the cup holders that attach to a mic stand are worth their weight in gold! The problem is that the one I previously used would only hold a fixed-sized bottle. I was stuck with using store-bought plastic water bottles. As someone who tries to avoid extra waste, that was a non-starter. But even reusable bottles that would fit would be used up so quickly because the most I could hold was around 20oz with the size of holder I had.So I figured I would give this cup holder a try. Below are my pros and cons of this cup holder:PROS:- The price is definitely rightThe clip that fastens to your mic stand is intuitive and holds fast, even with a large 32-oz metal water bottle in it.- As said above, the cup-holder slot can expand to hold the pictured 32 oz steel bottle without any issue.Cons:- This is a presumptuous con, but the plastics in parts don't feel sturdy. I have yet to have an issue with it, but that is one aspect of this cup-holder I am watching closely.Overall, I highly recommend this product. I have already used it for four gigs and it has held up well and my voice thanks it for doing so!

Feels cheap, probably won't last
Here's the thing, plastic sucks. It doesn't firmly grip things that have any weight to them, it gradually fails over time, and the only way to keep things in place is to continuously over-tighten the joints - hastening the eventual part failures. This cup holder is made of cheap plastic—like dollar store cheap. Every part can be bent with average finger pressure, so there's no chance it would last more than a month in real-world conditions. The design of the clamp is pretty nice, and adjusts to fit a lot of different diameter microphone stands, but it's a plastic clamp and feels like it's going to break as soon as you use it.The cupholder is unbelievably cheap, with very thin pieces that feel like they're going to break without even bothering to use it.the joint doesn't hold the cup in place firmly, and over tightening it leads to that creaking sound that tells you it's going to break soon. Not a great buy, unfortunately.

Ok. Not my favorite, but gets the job done.
My first impression was that it feels very cheap. However, it works. I set it all the way down on the mic stand so that the drink doesn't show in photos. It does attach well, but the drink doesn't seem to be exactly perpendicular to the floor. I think it gets the job done, but it's not the easiest to remove and put the drink back down. The little "arms" that grab the beverage container are very tight. Overall, if you want something more "pro" I'd say go for another option. For the price it's fine. I haven't tried this live, but I'd be concerned about this making transferring noise when opening the "arms" to grab the drink/putting it back down. I think it's just not that practical, as it's not an easy movement to lift the drink. A simple ring that went around the drink would have sufficed... Maybe that's a matter of taste...
