Organic Perlite for Plants, Soil Amendment for Enhanced Drainage and Growth, Ideal for Potting Mixes (1L)

My Plants seem happy :) I should of ordered a larger bag.

It is wat it is... mixed it in with other soil and all gone, very small bag

I bought this to mix with potting compost and coconut coir to make a potting mix for my houseplants. It helps with the drainage and is easy to mix in . I find this a reliable product and get good results , infact my spider plants have had a significant growth spurt in less than a week !

That being said, this review is NOT swayed by that, and (as always) contains only my real thoughts on the product; good and bad.]I requested the ‘Organic Perlite for Plants, Soil Amendment for Enhanced Drainage and Growth’ 1 Litre to loosen up some clay soil to be used in planters for bedding plants.The package is simple and there are some beige coloured particles in the bag, presumably because it is organic?This perlite comes with no organic certification and It is on the expensive side compared to regular perlite at £6.99 for 1 litre, at the time of this review. I give it 3 stars.

I use potting compost designed for succulents, but it always still ends up compact after a while and stops draining well. Perlite is a great additive to keep the soil light and airy and less likely to turn into a compact block over time.This particular perlite seems to be great quality. It comes in a sealed bag and was ideal size to add to a small bag of house plant compost. The price is obviously better if you buy larger quantity, but for the convenience of a small bag to add to a bag of compost, I don't think its too bad.

I ordered this organic perlite with a friend in mind who complains that many of her cuttings fail. She knows all about the benefits of perlite but never seems to have any to hand when it's needed.For the growth and development of cuttings, perlite is vital. Its porous texture helps improve drainage and aeration while retaining moisture, so is essential for root development. It will be very interesting to see what difference this useful product makes in the development of future cuttings.

Very misleading description on purpose! It's marked on assumed amount of product suitable for 1L of soil. Rip off - 80g of product.

I recently added this organic perlite into my trug, and I'm quite pleased with the quality of this medium. The 1l bag was small and manageable, which made it easy to mix into the soil without any hassle. It seems like a good quality perlite that's ideal for enhancing drainage and promoting better growth in potting mixes.
