High quality cistus tea
The Apsogo Cistus Tea comes in a 100g brown sealable paper pouch. It contains loose leaves and is certified organic. While I have had Greek tea before, I wasn't familiar with Cistus tea. It turns out the tea grows in many Mediterranean countries and is known for its many health properties. The taste is very pleasant. It has some citrus flavour. As a tea lover, the Cistus tea is definitely a lovely discovery. The tea quality is very good. You only get leaves.Highly recommended.

Not to my taste...
I have given this product a 4-star because, whilst it is not to my particular taste, there is nothing actually wrong with it, I just was not keen on the flavour but my daughter liked it and found it refreshing.I am pleased the tea will not go to waste as my daughter will drink it but I would not order it again.

Refreshing caffeine-free tea
I ordered this 100g bag of organic Greek cistus tea for something different as I love teas and felt like pouring something I hadn't tried before. I've drunk different types of teas for decades, have visited many tea specialist shops in various countries but hadn't heard of cistus tea before I saw this one so I did some reading around, starting with reassuring myself that it's caffeine free before I placed my order - it is.Cistus tea comes from Cistus Incanus, popularly known as rockrose. It's one of the oldest teas there is – although I'd never heard of it before – and is mentioned in historic tomes, including The Bible, apparently. It's also said to have lots of benefits but I just wanted to have an enjoyable pot of tea and stay hydrated. The bag of organic tea is good quality, all leaves, no twigs. I made a pot and steeped it initially for 8 minutes, then left it a little longer in accordance with the 8-10 minutes recommended on the bag. It's cloudy when poured. I did read some articles saying it should be brewed twice or even three times but I'm of the 'life's too short for that' variety of tea drinkers. The nose of the tea in the bag is quite plummy with a little lime blossom. When brewed, it's very lemony with lime blossom and eucalyptus notes which is reproduced on the palate with a little added prickle of ginger and a dry aftertaste with more of that slight spice prickle, plus a hint of cardamom at the end of the finish. It's a lovely cup of tea, so much so that I made another pot afterwards, adding an extra teaspoon of tea to the pot. This isn't the type of tea where you can reuse the leaves for 2-3+ pots but you have 100g so that shouldn't be an issue. If you love lemongrass and ginger tea, you'll love cistus tea.5* – A refreshing cup of caffeine-free organic cistus tea, one I'll be keeping stocked up in future. As with all bagged teas, I decanted this into a tea tin after opening but the bag is resealable for those who prefer to use the original packaging

Very nice light subtle flavour
I'm a big tea drinker but I've never tried, or heard of, Greek Cistus tea before. It's always nice to discover new teas so I was excited to give this a try. It's difficult to describe the taste. It has a very light subtle flavour. It's very pleasant. If you like other herbal teas then you'll probably like this too as it's quite inoffensive and mild.I'm happy to see it's organic and no chemical fertilizers or pesticides have been used. Also the fact that the bag is resealable is very handy.Overall I'm very happy with the tea. It's definitely something that I'd order again.

Interesting herbal tea that's worth trying if you appreciate less common and unique herbal brews.
A nice loose tea that arrived inside a well-made airtight and resealable pouch, which has a clear window and a nice looking printed label on the front that gives preparation instructions and other information clearly and concisely. The listed information is a good starting point for the first brew, and as always you should be expecting and willing to adjust and tweak things to your tastes when it comes to brew temperature and steeping duration. As usual with these herbal teas and infusions, I can’t really say if there is anything to the claims of it being beneficial for overall wellness or if it aids in digestion, but that isn’t really what I'm after when I'm looking for new and interesting teas. If there is some fringe benefit in drinking them, great, but I'm not buying or trying them due to the health benefit claims.£9.99 is significantly higher priced than most other brands and vendors selling essentially the same 100 grams of cistus tea, but otherwise it’s a decent enough herbal tea that tastes good and is surprisingly enjoyable, even as someone who tends to prefer black and green teas.

Unique, complex taste. Love it.
No, it's not a typo, this is cistus tea. As in rock rose plant here in the UK. A common flower, some treat as a weed. The package arrived in a resealable packet, which is good as this is a large amount of tea. Brewing time will alter hugely depending on how strong you like your tea. It will take at least three to four minutes to get a subtle flavour. Brewing details are all on the packet, clearly labelled.Soon as hot water hits the tea, you get a smell of lime, that then becomes overpowered by a floral smell. Like walking past a florist. Never having had this tea before, these aromas intrigued me. The scent I would say is robust. Upon trying the tea, I was hit with a slight bitter, tart taste. Some may prefer to add sugar, but that tartness reminded me of umami flavour in Japanese cooking a little. This soon washes away, leaving a very floral after-taste, slightly lemon, in the distance. It's complex and certainly different. I really adore it.It's also caffeine free, so a big bonus.
