Great for art classes.
I use these for my watercolor classes and they work great. They are sturdy enough for the painting process but not so sticky that they are difficult to remove. These are perfect for watercolors.

A good choice for bulk taping situations - Not Scotch Blue, but not 7 bucks a roll, either!
If you do a lot of package wrapping - say for online sales, etc. - then you know how handy 3/4" masking tape can be. Often, one just needs something that will hold the paper or packing material in place around an object one is shipping - and for that one needs a tape that won't leave a heavy residue over a few days in the box. That's fairly obvious. What one also needs is a copious supply that doesn't cost 6-7 bucks a roll!It is my observation that in recent years masking tape costs have skyrocketed far beyond any reasonable figure based on what one actually receives...I mean, it is TAPE, o.k? It is also the "Starbucks Syndrome", only applied to masking tape. Why sell a roll for 1.29 when you can get 7.88 for the same product by applying a little marketing savvy?Fortunately, this 12 roll package of general purpose tape somewhat offsets the Starbucks phenomenon in masking tape. Now to be accurate and fair, this is an inexpensive quality tape. Don't expect razor sharp edges when doing critical edging. But for general purpose taping of plastic and paper masking, or for general purpose in-box securing of packing materials (NOT BOX SEALING!) This tape is quite handy and affordable.I was glad to get the 12 rolls, and anticipate them supplying my need for quite some time. The adhesive is medium tack, and should not be left on a finish surface for more than a few days. Otherwise, it may leave a small amount of dried glue residue. The rolls are cut true to dimension, and I found it a plus that the tape came in a sealable plastic bag. Keeping tape fresh is very very important for stored tape life. Many people don't realize that masking tape left in unsealed condition (say in a hot garage) will quickly dry out.Bottom line; NEVER store your tape without a plastic zip-seal style bag to keep it fresh. Otherwise, you'll find yourself tossing a lot of tape. This 12 roll set REQUIRES such storage, unless you are servicing 12 packing stations occupied by 12 users, of course. :-)CONCLUSION: Five stars, when used in the correct application - but do realize that at the end of the day not going to compete with Scotch Blue, etc., for critical edge masking applications. Nevertheless a handy bulk supply for many common taping applications. The paper is just a shade thinner than edging tape, so if you wait too long, roll it down, or otherwise delay, the tear off is a little tougher and less clean than true edging tape. But you already knew that, based on what you are paying for these 12 rolls, right?Recommended for anyone who uses a lot of tape and hates paying exorbitant box-house prices for one or two rolls of common masking tape.

Great Value!
My kids seem to use a ton of masking tape for various creative projects and hanging things on the wall. So, first and foremost, this is a great value for the quantity you get. I also do water color painting and use this to tape of the borders and hold my paper down. It isn't so tacky that you run into issues with it peeling things up that you don't want to peel up, while also adhering well. I would say it has a really nice balance that I've sometimes have had a hard time to find in tape. I really like the 3/4" thickness and find that it works well for a variety of applications.

It's masking tape.
It does what masking tape should do. It keeps paint out of places you don't want it and leaves nice crips lines. It does remove much easier than the blue masking tape I usually use and works just as well at keeping the job neat. The tape does have a really strong smell, I assume it's the glue used to make it stick. So, if someone has an aversion to strong chemical smells this is not the tape to buy.

Tape everything
At $18 for 12 rolls of 3/4 inch x 55 yards masking tape (660 yards total), it seems like you're getting a lot of bang for your buck. I haven't done extensive price comparisons, but this deal feels like a steal. Now, let's talk about the tape itself. It's a bit on the thinner side compared to other masking tapes I've used, and it has a slightly translucent appearance rather than being completely opaque. But hey, it's masking tape – it's meant to be a temporary solution, not a permanent fixture. The good news is that it removes without leaving any residue, which is exactly what you want for short-term use. No one wants to spend hours scraping off sticky gunk after a quick painting project, right?Aside from being a little thin, I haven't encountered any real issues with this tape. In fact, I might just drive my wife crazy by putting masking tape on everything in the house – the remote control, the cat, you name it!All in all, if you're in need of a large quantity of masking tape for general purpose use, this 12-pack is a solid choice. It gets the job done without breaking the bank, and you'll have plenty left over for all your future masking adventures.

Currently using this masking tape to label my SD cards once they’re filled up. It comes in super handy and allows me to quickly identify which cards have already been used and what they were used for. It’s a little tough to write with a normal ballpoint pen, and I find that writing on this tape with sharpie is much better. I’d recommend writing with an ultra-fine tip sharpie because there’s not a lot of room to write on. There’s 12 rolls included with 55 yards each, for a total of 660 yards (603.5 meters). That’s a lot of tape, especially for the price. At under $20, it’s a sweet deal, in my opinion. You can also tear the tape with your hands, which makes for an overall versatile tape. Highly recommended. Here's a simpler rundown:Pros+ Under $20 for 660 yards (603.5 meters) of tape (I think it's a sweet deal)+ I'll mention it again, you get lots and lots of tape.+ No need for scissors, tearable by hand+ Does not leave sticky residue on surfaces, including SD cards, which are very fragileCons- Not a lot of space to write on, make sure to use an ultra-thin sharpie or a similar marker- In my tests, regular ballpoint pens had a tough time writing on the tape

Works Great.
My family goes through a lot more masking tape than I ever thought possible, mostly from kids 'constructing' things. I got this box because it was a good deal and the tape works great. No issues. Highly recommend if you have a lot of taping needs.
