Strong, "Hot" Taste and a Nature Conservation Cause Behind It
The taste of this honey is very strong and even a bit "hot" if I may say so, as you can feel it lingering for quite some time in your throat after you had your daily dosage - which is one tea spoon, by the way - making the jar last for about a month or a bit less for two persons. The consistency is very thick, but still flowing with small crystalized particles in it, dark orange in color with specific aroma. I liked it a lot and it was my treat early in the morning and treated it as a kind if immune boost, which it is indeed according to the information I read about manuka honey. The packaging is worth reading too as the packaging is recyclable and there is actually a story and nature conservation cause and effort behind this product. Loved the kingfisher on the label - really pretty and unique bird and a nice touch too - showing the different species of birds enjoying the habitat. I also appreciated the short and clear explanation of some terms like "UMF" on the box as I have heard about manuka honey, but never known what the numbers meant. It's not your everyday honey and it is easy to tell even by a person like me who isn't a connoisseur.

Top quality raw Manuka Honey
Manuka Honey from New Zealand tends to have an MGO rating that is the amount of the most important active compound methylglyoxal. It's measured as grams per kilogram so the bigger the number the stronger the anti-bacterial properties. So this MGO514+ means it has AT LEAST 514 grams per kg.The Unique Manuka Factor (UMF) grading system is another way to identify genuine Manuka honey, and it's linked directly to MGO, but also includes additional testing of authenticity markers of the Manuka Honey. This includes dihydroxyacetone and leptosperin and ranged from 5+ to 20+ and is an indicator of genuine Manuka honey from New Zealand. This one is rated at 15+ and carries the UMF logo. This Tahi Honey is a 100% sustainable, raw, monofloral, non-GMO honey from a well respected and trusted premium brand that has won lots of great taste awards. It has a very good website and it's sold in Harrods so is a pretty reliable brand in a market where it's suspected 30%-50% of products are not legitimate. The best before date is is over 3 years away. It comes in a sealed screw top BPA free plastic jar in an elegant cardboard box. The honey looks thick and fudgy and tastes deliciously rich, smooth complex and sweet. It doesn't have much of that medicinal twang to it that you sometimes get with High UMF manuka. It's expensive for honey, and you only get 12 servings for £55 at the time of writing, but it is a great honey.

Amazing Flavour
This is the most expensive honey I have ever tried and the taste is something else. Very strong and creamy. It just smashes into the tastebuds like no other honey has ever done for me in all my years of having it. It is a fairly small jar and I have decided to have a teaspoon of it on the odd occasion when I feel like a treat. I certainly won't be spreading it on toast or stirring it into some yoghurt.

Makuna honey
Creamy, smooth and with a strong taste. This was one of the purest and tastiest honey I've ever tried. It's really creamy, almost resembling a peanut butter consistency, not liquid like many other kinds of honey out there.Perfect to melt into milk, or to be eaten as is from the jar (pay attention, could be addictive and you can end up finishing the jar in one go!)

Proper Manuka From New Zealand
I ordered the Tahi Raw Manuka Honey MGO 514+ Certified (UMF 15+). This is brilliant, proper raw and unpasteurised Manuka honey from New Zealand. You get a 250 gram pot and mine has a best before date of 3 years from now. Being Manuka honey it has a very distinctive smell and taste which you might need to get used to if you have only had normal honey. It is runny honey, but quite thick and it is a deep dark orangy colour. You are supposed to have 1 tablespoon per day to get the benefits. I can definitely recommend this honey and feel that it is the genuine product.

The genuine article
This is amazing stuff and very much the genuine article - TAHI Manuka honey is sold by Harrods and this carries the official NZ certification confirming it as proper Manuka honey. At MGO of 514 it's less intensive than the higher UMF honeys, but it still has the distinctive Manuka taste.Buying this product also supports TAHI's conservation work in NZ.Comes in a nice box and makes a lovely gift.

Simply the best quality honey I've ever experienced.
Ok, so this is a whole different ball-game when it comes to decent honey. I'll need to wait until I've won the lottery before I'll be able to have this on toast regularly, so instead, this is to be savoured and used 'for best'I personally will be using it more medically than in any other way - When I have a sore throat, a cold or am generally under the weather. I've previously used Manuka in this way and cannot recommend it enough for the benefits a spoonful taken slowly can do when you have a sore throat. This is far purer and more 'active' than others I've tried, you really can tell the difference! The flavour is rich and slightly reminiscent of menthol, the honey has a wonderful creaminess to it too.It is quite expensive, as I've had 500+ MGO variants that were less money than this, but this is far, far smoother and better tasting than they were, so I guess that's the difference here.As it stands, this is by far the nicest honey I've ever had, though at this price perhaps it should be.100% worth the money. Excellent product.

Quality Manuka honey with a high MGO...
This looks like very good quality Manuka honey, it’s thick with a rich colour to it. High MGO so it should be more nutrient dense (which explains the premium price).I do think it’s nicely presented... a tad bit confusing having a bird on a jar of honey perhaps but presumably it represents New Zealand wildlife and it looks pleasant enough. I think it would make a good gift for someone special.
