Changing the laces is the easy part. Next, the saddle soap and mink oil
Compared to the old laces that were 100 years old: The new laces are the same diameter. The new laces are about 2 inches shorter; I guess the old laces stretched out over the last century.Regarding the 2-inches-less, I laced them up, and the lengths were completely long enough to make a bow, make an overhand knot from the bunny ears, and still have comfortable leftovers.I made the right choice getting laces that are 2 inches shorter than the original laces. If I went to the longer length, the bunny ears would have been too floppy.

Good quality and length boot laces!
My old laces were worn out and these are a great replacement. The color matches well with brown leather/suede. They feel sturdy!

As good as the originals
These worked perfect to replace broken laces on my husband’s shoes. They were cheaper than others but seem just as high quality.

Great Replacement Laces for Heavy Duty Boot Use
I've used these to replace the really terrible quality laces that come with the new boots I buy for work. These seem to be a lot better constructed and hold up against a lot of tie up and unties during the work day not to mention hold up very well in the elements. Working in landscaping and gardening, water, mud, dirt, grass, gravel, and clippings get all over my boots and the laces. These always hold up very well each season and by the time I need to get new boots the laces are still in good shape. Overall I really like these kind of boot laces and always opt to get them to replace the stock included laces of new boots. At the price point too I highly recommend them.

Great For My 30 Year Old Dr. Martens
Pros:- Very high duty; just what I was looking for in a replacement for my Dr. Marten boots.- Length was great for my Dr. Martens.- Laces well and moves well through the eyelets.Cons:- none.At $7 (at the time of this review) this is a great value. Shipping was super fast.

I'm pretty sure you'll get your $8 Bucks worth out of them.
A good boot lace will only show its quality after extended use but at first glance they look like every other $8 dollar boot lace. The biggest issue with boot laces is how well the hold up to being drug across the hooked eyelets or "speed hooks" at the top of the boot. That's always where mine break and I'm sure these will break at some point. They all do. Well, all the ones in the $8 dollar range do. Not necessarily in a single season, but they do. I always keep a spare set in my car for that reason. If your boots stay dry most of the time or if you don't have hooked eyelets in your shoes/boots you might get extended mileage out of these but mine get wet and dry out and get wet and dry out and in that time I'm dragging my laces across those hooked eyelets which just grinds them down. These laces seem to be on par with all the other $8 dollar laces I see on amazon. You can pay twice as much but I have never gone down that road. I'm cheap. If these die sooner than my usual laces I'll update the review. Maybe I'll break down and get the expensive laces I've been hearing so much about and see what's what. But at the end of the day it's $8 bucks. It's probably worth it just to not have to think this much about a pair of shoe /boot laces. Even for the more expensive laces you should keep a pair set in your car/truck.Overall I think I prefer the darker flatter style of laces in my boots now but I don't think I'm going to get into the weeds over some boot laces. These seem fine. As always shop around. I'm pretty sure you'll get your $8 Bucks worth out of them.
