Do you have a dog crate in the back of your vehicle? Does your dog skitter around whenever you turn a corner, because they can't keep traction on the floor, or because their mate slips on the plastic base? My little dog has always been great in the car, but she can't help but slide around when cornering. Until now, that is!I'd been looking for a waterproof, sturdy crate mat for a little while without success when I saw the BBD cushion. My crates are all 24" long, so the Small mat looked a perfect fit. And it was!The cover is made from robust ballistic nylon to ensure durability and to enable easy cleaning. It also has a texture that allows my little dog to retain grip when I'm driving along the wiggly-bits, so no more sliding around in the crate! With a thickness of about 2½ inches, it's very comfortable, too.As someone who always tries to buy British, the BBD mat had the added bonus of being made (not just designed) here in the UK. That was the icing on the cake, really.These are excellent mats, and I'm so convinced of it that I bought another 2, including one for her crate at home! Can't recommend these enough!

Really impressed with the quality of the cover. Lovely thick material which is easy to wipe clean and vacuum and resists dog hair embedding into it like other material. Washed well but make sure you turn inside out as well to dry inside. Only issue was getting the cover back on - was a real work out. The zip opening is slightly smaller then the full length of the side so you have to fold the unprotected foam inner to get it in me hen it's a real struggle to get it all the way down. As the inside is uncovered foam am worried that it will be damaged while the cover is put back on. Fits my XL large dog crate beautifully though and seems to resist smells due to the waterproof cover.

I bought this as an outdoor dog bed that's placed both on grass and tiles depending on where the shade is. The dogs immediately took to it and love it so much so that they "ask" for it if I don't bring it out.It is light weight and easy to put away, it's really comfortable, has a good thickness (good enough if you want to sit on it yourself together with your pet!), it insulates and provides the softness they want when resting. It's perfect for use in the garden and for travelling or just as an extra pet mattress.The dogs have rested and played and out the mat through a bit of everything and they can get it quite dirty but it has been easy to clean and after a summer's use it looks pretty much like new so I'm really happy with this purchase.

Our 14mo Rottweiler has been used to dog crates since he was a puppy both as an 'indoors kennel' and in the back of our combi van for travelling. We have always previously used the Pets at Home 'Scruffs' beds in his crates without any issues in terms of comfort or durability. However when we recently purchased a larger crate for the van the right size 'Scruffs' bed was out of stock and, having read what appeared to be good reviews, we purchased the BBD Pet Products dog bed. On the first trip out in the van (approx 15 mins travelling) lety the dog out to find a 12cm tear in the bed surface, exposing the foam inner beneath. We know our dog likes to lie on his side and scrape his paws back and forth across the surface of his dog beds - he does this every day/night in his indoors crate (annoyingly!) but we have had no issues at all with tearing of the surface on the various sized 'Scruffs' beds we have had. His nails are also clipped regularly.Therefore very disappointed by the durability of the BBD Pet Products bed - now destined only for the bin!

Looks good and thick and durable. Not had to wipe it down or wash it yet.I brought a medium to go into a XL crate/cage has we have a puppy so wanted to give her space in the crate if she had to have a accident. So she had two separate areas one for relaxation the other for play.Be honest she isn’t in the crate long and the door is always open. She has been trying to bite the mat but to be fair she’s biting everything.

Well this is the first bed my dogs haven't shredded, and my girl who has zero bladder control can't ruin it with pee! Only thing I struggle with is getting the cushion back in the cover but I think that'll get easier in time!

One of the Staffies destroyed the zip in seconds. He couldn't eat the other side, though the little s**t did try!We've sown it closed now and so far so good.Would be really good for a non destructive type of dog. Feels really well padded and heavy duty canvass type material

This mat was great . It’s easy to keep clean ,so doesn’t smell. I don’t use it in a cage . It fits perfectly in the corner of my kitchen. We are also going to put one in our camper van , as it’s easy to fit and very light weight.
