You won't be disappointed!
Although it's of German origin, the Blu-ray Disc is easily setup to play in original English audio and if required English subtitles. The disc itself is of high quality taking into account the age and quality of the source material. A classic comedy and Lemmon and Matthau are at their 'Odd Couple' / 'Fortune Cookie' best. Rarely seen on UK television, why I don't know, as the 1940 version 'His Girl Friday' is often on Film4. Anyway, Good quality, good price, excellent customer service and a well happy purchaser. I'll be looking to see what other titles are available from the seller.

Classic performance
This film taken from a play originally, has not been on TV very often here. So I searched around and found a DVD, as Jack Lemmon and Walther Matthau are captivating in it. Most of the action takes place in one room, a press room in a police station, so ideal for theatre. The quality of the print is OK but the actors and actresses make up for it. This is comedy at it's best if you like JL and WM. The writing is brilliant and the story is easy to follow, with lots of tension as JL is supposed to be going off with his fiance and leaving the reporting business, but convinced to write one last story on an escaped convict.The interaction between the two lead actors is superb, but the supporting cast is also well picked and adds to the story.Worth having, especially if you have not seen the film.

Brilliant film but this supplier's version is impossible to view in UK
Great film - but it couldn't be played in the UK as it is 'Region 1' which can only be accessed on DVD players in the Americas. Ended up buying it on Amazon Prime View. Very disappointing as it was a present and the recipient was completely at a loss and didn't like to tell me until too long after purchase for me to return

update about dvd.
I gave a good review about this dvd a couple of days ago it had a little bow and a smiley face on the dvd front now I know why because when my son opened the package to play the dvd it had a circle thing on it which would not let the dvd play, the dvd was ultra thin and looked very odd what a complete waste of money. do not buy from this seller, very dodgy.

First class service from the supplier. Arrived well within the given time frame. Well packaged, including ribboned bow and a very picturesque postcard from 'Olomouc'.The film:This plays with English sound and titles.Good quality transfer of a classic movie. These two are always good and Billy wilder always gets the best ouit of them. Good story, great script and good old fashion acting.

Wilder, Matthau and Lemmon do it again.
This film has all of Billy Wilder’s class, a hilarious script, great acting and a happy ending. It’s a bit obviously adapted from the stage play, but still one of the best.
