I'm glad I got this Yumatum garden hose holder reel with a basket. It was easy to put together using the simple installation brochure and when finished, I think it feels solid and sturdy. None of the pieces felt flimsy or bendable. The listing says the holder is made of high-storage gauge steel and has a powder coated finish insuring resistance to rust and oxidation.The spikes are configured so you can point them both in front direction, or have one spike positioned to extend behind the holder for stability. It's convenient to me that holder can be placed anywhere in the yard instead of being attached to a wall or your house.Since I'm standing it against a wall, I chose both unattached spikes extending in front of the holder. The ground it's standing on has a layer of gravel over the top that I needed to dig out first. The soil was a little damp from rain, so the spikes sunk into the soil with no trouble. There was no sign any spike was going to bend even when a spike struck a rock as I pressed the holder into the ground.With the hole filled and tamped down with a mixture of dirt and gravel, the holder is firmly in place. It had no give or rock when I shook it. This spring when I lug out the big hose, I look forward to storing it out of the way when not in use. A place where the hose is not laying in the sun, or in danger of being run over by the lawn mower. Total win. So keep your garden organized and hydrated with ease. To reach the garden area at the rear of our yard, we bought a heavy, 75-foot-long hose. Unfortunately, the outdoor faucet is at the edge of a second, smaller garden, and dragging and coiling the hose will wreak havoc with anything growing there.I didn’t want to hang anything on the house, and reel carts were too awkward and expensive. Enter the Yumatum garden hose holder. It’s easy to assemble (a hex and flat, single-head, open end box wrench are thoughtfully enclosed), free-standing and stout enough to support our 7/8-inch diameter hose.Four spikes mount the holder to the ground. I didn’t measure them beforehand, and the holder seems sturdy, but I do wonder how the spikes will fare in the changing conditions of the soil and in different types of soil. I wish they were a couple of inches longer. I have given thought to crafting a simple bracket or chain to secure the holder against the foundation.Then again, nothing will hold the spikes in place better than the weight of a hefty hose.I’m not crazy about doing yard work. So when I need the hose, I have to dial things down a bit and make a point to lift the coils off rather than pull on them directly—an extra margin of caution, but a small price to pay for no longer having to store the hose in the dirt.

This hose hanger is very well built. It is made of heavy-duty steel construction and should last a long time. It stands 36" out of the ground and has a 13" long, 6" wide basket to hold your hose. It has 4 prongs that push into your lawn to keep the holder upright. It should easily hold 100' of hose. I like the little shelf under the basket so you can put a hose nozzle or other garden implement for easy access.

I ordered the Yumatum Garden Hose stand to store our garden hose that we had previous rolled up on the ground. The stand arrived in a medium sized cardboard box, in about 7 main pieces, and required some assembly. A torx wrench, together with nuts and bolts, were included in the package and used to assemble the various pieces together. The instructions were easy to follow and once assembled, the hose stand became sturdy enough to realistically hold a heavy garden hose. The spikes at the bottom of the stand are sharp, and were easy to drive into the ground. The included wire basket hangs on the curved upper component using hooks and is easy to remove if desired, or the hooks can be bent to keep the basket securely attached to the stand. Once staked outside, I was able to stow a heavy 50ft garden hose on the stand without much difficulty. Though the title of the product mentions the word 'reel', there is no reeling function whatsoever. It's all manual. Overall, the hose stand is sturdy enough for our needs, easy to assemble, and is powder coated to prevent rust, which is important for Midwest winters.

I tried setting this up in my garden to hold about 60’ of 3/4” garden hose, and the post was flexing like crazy. Obviously couldn’t handle the weight and would have broken or come out of the ground quickly. So I just detached the top hose reel holder and fastened it to my garden post. I would not recommend this product for anything other than lightweight hose.

This Yumatum Garden Hose Holder Reel works in organizing my garden hose. The basket is also useful for some stuff like hose attachments. The metal looks well made. The con that i notice with this is it can easily fall if you accidentally pull the garden hose. Overall, the idea and design is ok but there might be better options out there.

Garden Hose Holder with storage. This hose holder is very simple and ease to assemble. It has four spikes that keeps the holder from leaning to the sides. The bonus part is a little shelve that works as storage where I can place garden tools. The material feels strong and seems like it can last for some time.
