I like to make my own soup, but it's always good to have a can or two in the cupboard for that instant lunch or starter. The Baxter range is usually tasty and some are very close to homemade in taste and substance. This is a rich, thick and nourishing lentil and veg mix. It's filled with protein and low in fat if that's a consideration. Unlike some tinned soups, this one is not over salty.Served in a chunky Le Creuset soup bowl with a twist of ground black pepper on top, a hot, crusty roll alongside, it's difficult to tell this is out of a tin. It makes a warming and tasty lunch in minutes and it's also one of my favourites to take on a walk on a cold day in a thermos flask as a warm picnic dish.

Better than the rival!
I've got to be honest as I really wanted to order a rivals soup from Amazon Pantry but they were out of stock. Rather reluctantly I went for this (bit obsessed with my soup) and it was amazing.Really good flavour, great value for money and the ingredients are really top-notch. Heated up nicely and tasted delicious- thank you Baxters.
