These are an excellent, hair curlers with a budget range price, but mid-range quality. The temperature is controlled by a button which steps the temperature up or down with each press, along with a digital display indicating the temperature. The wand heats up very quickly, so there is virtually no wait to get started with styling. There is a fairly long power cable of around 2.5 metres giving you a flexible range of use even with awkward power outlets. The curling plates are ceramic giving more protection to your hair and a auto shut off giving less risk of burning or fire if left unattended. The curlers work on both 240v and 120v making them perfect for travelling different countries. Unfortunately, there are a couple of small problems, the handle that is used to create the curl effect can get extremely hot, even through hand protection and the temperature button is very easy to catch, when curling, which can turn the temperature up or down without you noticing. Both things to be aware of, but as long as you keep these things in mind then you have a great curling wand for a great price

Heats up very quickly, and doesn't use much power. Draws 240W when first heating, quickly dropping to 0 as it reaches temperature. The iron stays hot for quite a while.Checked with a thermal camera, temperatures look good, with maybe 5-10° variance.The clamp is a little stiff and could make it a little awkward to use if you're using it on your own hair.The glove that comes with it does a good job of keeping the heat away for a while. It's very slow to warm up, and when it does, it's still much cooler than the iron.Works well, and a decent price.

My 18 year old daughter has been using these DAN Technology curling tongs for a couple of weeks now.When I asked her what she liked or disliked about them, she said she liked the way the power cable is attached, and how the tongs can be turned through 360 degrees without the flex getting twisted.She also likes the clear LED temperature display and how easy it is to fine tune the heat to her particular hair thickness.She was also pleased that the tongs are dual voltage, and will work on 110v as she is going on holiday to Florida in June, and is delighted they will still work in the US.The only thing she didn't like was the heated barrel and movable clip/gripper. She said they are not really long enough for people with very long, thick hair like her. She liked the 32mm thickness as it gave nice large curls but she thought the the barrel length was way too short, and would be much better if it was 30 - 40mm longer, which would then allow her to curl a lager amount of hair each time, instead of having to do several small amounts to ensure her long thick hair will fit on the barrel well enough to curl it effectively.
