As a member of a search and rescue team, I know that having the right backpack is essential to completing the mission. This pack is a great choice for a beginner or young person who is getting into CAP or Scouts; it would also be a decent choice for use as a camping backpack or for a trail hiker. I like that it has plenty of pockets for organization, and it has fully adjustable straps at the shoulders, chest, and waist. The built in whistle is a bonus, as is the pouch and opening to accommodate your choice of water bladder with drinking tube. The fabric is rip-stop, lightweight and water resistant. A pack cover is included and stores in a small, bottom, zipped pocket. This will work well for my son who is still growing and building his outdoor skills. It light weight and fits nicely, it’s comfortable but I wish it had more pockets. Has tons of functionality and is easy to set up. Love that it came with a waterproof bag. Good value for price for a day or over night hike but I am unsure how it would fair on a long trip.

This is a decent pack. Relatively comfortable and is built well as far as durability. I wish it had a frame, but overall, it’s great. All the typical features. It’s nice that it comes with a rain cover. Usually, you have to buy that separately.

At first I thought it’s a little to big but now I realize it is what I need.

Got this for my evening hikes w/ meetup groups. Generally, it's got water, poncho but can take so much more. Just the right amount of hooks on which to attach stuff. Light.Def recommended.

I a;ways want to ensure that I carry enough water and supplies with me when on a hike. Plus, my area tends to have sudden rainstorms. So I like the size of this bag to not only carry enough water and snacks but also raingear and basic first aid gear.But maybe I need to get some expert look at it because I can't seem to get the straps adjusted right for a good fit. I have it gapping at the shoulders.
