Brass on a budget!
Very pleasantly surprised!! It is really easy to apply and dries almost instantly. It also washes off easily if you get it all over your hands like I do. It is a very small tube but a little goes a long way! The fragrance is strong so use in a well ventilated area. I wanted a little brass bird but keep forgetting to actually look for one (🤣) so I used this little resin bird from the dollar store and the rub n buff to make my own!

Works Great!
It was 1 AM when I heard a loud crash. I awoke to see this 75-year-old mirror in pieces on the floor. Although it looks like carved wood, it is comprised of some molded material glued onto a frame. It took a few days to figure this jigsaw puzzle out, but there were still many small missing pieces that I had to fabricate with Rock Hard putty. I was going to try gold leafing it, but that seemed like too much work. I bought some Rub and Buff and what arrived was a tiny tube. I couldn't imagine that this tiny amount would cover this rather large mirror. It not only covered it, but I still have half a tube left. It doesn't have the nuance of gold leaf, but it still looks better than new. I can see the imperfections in my gluing, but the antique gold color is perfect! It is a great product.

Good product
This product works great, just be aware of inconsistent thickness/consistency among different shades. I purchased both Grecian Gold and Gold Leaf shades to mix together, and one of them was much more liquidy than the other, and harder to control. The thicker one was the consistency of toothpaste and much easier to control. I had to shake both tubes first before mixing, to be on the safe side.

Easy to apply and great coverage
I wanted to redo the finish of our dark bronze handles in our laundry room so I decided to try this Rub n Buff Metallic finish cream. I first tried the Grecian Gold and thought it might be too gold so I decided to also try the Antique Gold. It goes on very easily. I just used a latex glove and my finger to rub it on and apply to each handle. It wasn't hard to cover the original bronze. It is a small tube but it really goes a long way. The photos are of the finished Antique Gold, but if I were to do it again, I would've stayed with the Grecian Gold because it is a truer bronze gold instead of the Antique Gold, which seems to have a more copper tone to it. Not sure if the photos do the colors justice, but hopefully it will help in making your decision. The application really was so easy that I'm wondering what else I can apply it to! Saved a bunch of money and didn't have to replace costly door handles and pulls for the time being but it gave my laundry room a whole new look.

Easy and Forgiving!
These bells are older than me, almost 50 years old, my parents brought them home from a trip in Switzerland, but they had rusted horribly and I wanted to try to restore some patina but have them look a little more cleaned up. The chain links were completely rusted and This stuff gave the entire thing a facelift! I used a little artist brush to paint and stipple, and I will admit sloppily, the product into the rusty links and then I wore surgical gloves to rub and buff it around on the chains. Totally easy to give a patina look, and it dries fast! It was a lot of fun to do as well. it can get a little stinky so cracking a window will help. A little goes a LONG way. I got Grecian gold.

Looks so Authentic!
I used in over a cheap tinish antique brass doorknob. I buffed it out for a wonderful warm sheen. The Rub 'n Buff did not rub off. The doorknob has a more authentic antique feel to it now and the metal looks better than the modern fake that it was prior. Instead of replacing the doorknobs throughout my home I'll be using this product. Amazingly, the smallest amount was needed to completely cover the knob. I don't know how such a tiny amount covered and adhere so well! It's like magic! The Grecian Gold color though beautiful is a bit rose or orange. It is a beautiful shade; however, I think I'm going to try for one that is bit more yellow and see which one I prefer for my project. Overall, this is a wonderful product.

Much more yellowy gold than expected; difficult to wipe on in spite of surface prep
I got this product so that I could change the color on my bar cabinet hardware which is custom made for the cabinet and not easy to swap out. I had prepped the hardware to accept the Rub n'Buff by degreasing it, giving it a light sanding and wiping it down before applying it with a light touch according to instructions. At first, the wax would just wipe right off at the point of buffing, even a gentle swipe would take it off. I attempted applying it with a gloved finger, ungloved finger, microfiber cloth, and Q-tip... and in the end the ungloved finger was the most successful. The wax dries fast, but unfortunately that doesn't mean that it sticks to the hardware - it just clumps up and rolls right off. The only way I got this to work was with multiple heavy applications of the wax, using my bare finger to 'blotch' it all over the surface, waiting a bit for it to partly dry, and then buffing with a microfiber cloth to fill in the crevices that didn't get enough wax. Then I filled in bits that were still bare with a pointed Q-tip. Not entirely happy with the realism of the results, it looks as if I used a thick paint. I got the Grecian Gold which ended up being a lot more yellowy/coppery in tone than the vintage brass-gold I had hoped for (see pic). If I could have removed all of the hardware (which wasn't possible in this case), it would have been easier for me to spray paint this and seal with a varnish.

Goes a long way, drys instantly, great coverage, beautiful finish, quick & easy to use. It’s magic!
This is my third order, 2 in this shade of Grecian Gold and 1 in another shade of gold. If it’s your first time receiving this, you may be taken aback a how small the tube is, but let me reassure you, a little goes a very long way. The first tube I purchased in a different shade worked phenomenally, with no issues, however both tubes of this shade had liquid coming out at the start. I wouldn’t have known any difference if I’d not used it before and it took a few attempts to find a solution to the liquid, which was I presume the product separating. My first attempt was to put some in a small airtight container and mix it, but it went dry overnight. The second attempt I turned the tube with the cap facing up for 24hrs and neither of these worked. Lastly and finally, I literally spent 10 minutes shaking the tube until what felt like my arms would drop off, this thankfully worked! Im an avid crafter, DIY’er and upcylcer, therefore I use a lot of paint, which requires prepping the item, primer, multiple coats of paint & varnish and of course waiting for each coat to dry! It’s a lengthy and costly process. I came across this product whilst watching a tutorial and thought I’d give it a try and it’s my all time favourite product! It’s so easy to use, apply a little with a cloth or a brush, then buff until shiny and it’s completely dry immediately, doesn’t chip, water resistant etc. It’s magic! It gives a far better finish in my opinion than spray paint or ordinary paint, as there’s no brush strokes or drips to worry about. As you can see from my photos I’d spray painted a desk chair legs in gold, but I felt it looked cheap, plus it was flaking in places and it had hairs and dust dried in to the paint. It was super easy and fast to apply the new products. The wax doesn’t adhere to every surface without using a primer unfortunately. It applies to metal easily and most plastic surfaces too. I found shiny plastic needs a primer first, so it can grip the surface. It also applies to wood too, with the exception of plywood or other highly porous surfaces-you need a waterproof primer such as a varnish first or the wood soaks in the product no matter how many coats. It has incredible longevity, I’ve wiped it with water and various cleaners and it doesn’t budge. Ive bent mailable items with no cracking. Again, it’s magical! Probably my main issue is finding the correct shade out of their range of gold’s as the online swatches look quite different-plus your item’s colour or material type determines the colour too to a certain extent-the item in my photo has gold paint underneath, some parts required a primer which was brown. The first shade i bought turned out to be leaning towards a rose coloured gold and this one leans towards the antique gold shades. You may need to buy multiple shades to find your preferred one. Tip: With regards application, I tried various methods and found a multi sized pack of cheap oval toothbrush style makeup brushes to be best. The product bristles are soft and very dense, keeping the product on the surface of the brush, ensuring you use less product and it glides on with no brush marks. It’s also easy to buff with the same brush. Your brush will go hard if you leave it out for a while, as you’d expect, but simply buff if gently against a corner of something and it will be ready to use again. Overall, Im in love and it beats painting!

A little goes a long way.
It is a very small tube but a little goes a long way. I have covered a large ornate mirror, a serving tray and a large wall decoration and still have almost half a tube left. Love this product!!!
