Delicious rich dark cherry chocolates!!!!
Yummmm!I was searching for a cherry chocolate as my usual favourites from hotel chocolat are not available!!! I think I’ve found a winner here! The outside dark chocolate is crisp and inside the ganache is soft and smooth with a yummy cherry hidden inside!I would say these are more for lovers of dark chocolate as it can be a bit rich but i love that you only need to eat one to feel satisfied and feel like you’ve had a treat! You can definitely taste the alcohol which I love but can understand some of the other reviews who say it can be a little overpowering but I love them!Only down side is the size of the box! I tookA gamble buying 1kg but in my desperation for a good cherry chocolate I took the risk! I’m so pleased I did.

Big disappointment
These came in a plain white box. They taste quite bland, could not taste of any strawberry at all. The best before date is only one month away fron date of purchase. There's a white residue on the outside of the chocolates, I'm guessing this is due because they are nearly out of date. They look fancy but taste like cheap chocolates. What a big disappointment.

TRYING to limit myself to 2 a day after my initial pig out session!
They really do deserve to be savoured rather than simply scoffed. Smooth, dark chocolate coating, thick enough to be levered away with my front teeth and a soft, melt in the mouth centre. It doesn't taste strongly of coffee, but I can well believe that coffee is one of the contributors to it's subtle taste. Very morish though I 'm trying to be good and make them last!

Rich dark chocolate truffles but the cherry is nearly drowned out
Each of these big chocs weighs about 22 grams and has a very thick bittersweet dark chocolate shell decorated on the top with a pretty design 2 red cherries attached to milk chocolate stalks. Inside is a very rich and unctuous dark chocolatey alcohol ganache with a small kirsch soaked cherry in the middle. Unfortunately the boozy cherry whilst tasty is almost an afterthought, being almost completely overwhelmed by the predominant powerful cocoa combination of the shell and ganache. This is the second type of Ickx I have tried and a very thick outer chocolate shell, especially on the top is common to both. For me the emphasis should be on the filling inside, with a light chocolate shell as an introduction to the delights to follow after the shell is broken.

As in I'd happily eat them if they were hanging about
I'm a bit mixed on these.Pros:- chocolates taste nice/ok. As in I'd happily eat them if they were hanging about, but I wouldn't particularly go out of my way to buy them.- at around £7.70/kg they're reasonably cheap for ok tasting chocolate.Cons:- the packaging is very ugly.- the packaging isn't well sealed/not sure how fresh they'd stay if not eaten soon.I did like them and ok at the price, but honestly I prefer Lily O'Brien's.

Tasty Chocolates
The advert states Beautiful presentation and I assume they are meaning the chocs, not the packaging The box is a very plain white cardboard box, inside they have 3 rows designed to take 24 each. however as the chocs are sold by weight and one box fits all their loose chocs, the top shelf had about 8 missing. These are designed for party's where you transfer them to dishes etc and also ideal for restaurants who give a free choc at the end of the meal . The chocolates are, in my opinion absolutely delicious . one of the most pleasant I have ever tasted, the soft centre is outstanding, so much so I promptly ordered another box.

not bad at all but...
the dog got at them and ate over 650g!He is fine, but I am very annoyed about it as these are quite nice - on a Warehouse Deal I thought that they were good value, but not worth the full price. For eg there is Amaretto in them but you would never know it. I had to eat all the chocolate off the filling to get an idea of what the filling tasted like - perfectly pleasant, but bland.

good
lovely and good chocos in a poor carton box....these chocos must be kept in an own tin box and are very delicious ..bought at 8,00 pounds for 1 kilo....a deal...but i'd never spend a full amount of 25,00 pounds or more for them...the carton box is very very fair and poor closed with a slice of simple scotch...:-(..so don't expect nothing stylish but the chocolates are delicious
