If you need instructions in English they are here!
TIP: There are no English instructions included. When I found the English instructions on the internet, there is a large repeated message saying "DO NOT OPEN FRAME AT FRONT CLIPS, ONLY OPEN FROM THE BACK"Well, of course, I'd already opened it at the front as it seemed the natural thing to do, I don't appear to have done any damage to it, but I'm guessing I could have been unlucky and broken it immediately. (I've included the full English instructions below so you don't have to go searching for them). So after that initial potential mishap, I tried the Cap Buddy on an old, dirty and sun-bleached cap I'd stopped wearing a long time ago. I followed all the instructions below and everything went smoothly. I've attached before and after photos. It was quite an unfair test in some ways as there was no going back from all the sun-bleaching, but the cap retained its shape (which is always the main concern for washing them) and is certainly a lot cleaner. There is a lot of white residue on the underneath of the cap, I'm not sure where that came from, I think it's due to how I left the cap to dry (still in the Cap Buddy as recommended, but hanging from a hook in the utility room), maybe this let too much water run down into the front of the cap where it struggled to dry. Next time I'd lay it flat and use a paper towel to absorb some of the excess moisture. All in all, it worked as it should have, kept the cap safe while it was washed. It loses a star for having no English instructions included, especially as the "only open from the back" one seemed important enough to repeat in all caps when I did find the instructions so would have liked to have that included!INSTRUCTIONS------------------------------------------------------------How To Use Your BallCap Buddy:Dishwasher recommended on the top rackDo not use lemon detergent (Lemon is a bleaching agent)Using your dishwasher is highly recommended but you can use your washing machine as well. Superb invention
This item arrived safe and well packaged.Well I guess I'll start by explaining that my son has a huge baseball cap collection. He is not one of those with an unworn collection of pristine caps that are for looking and not touching. He is the type of lad that loves to wear them! He wears them as often as he can - and they often return home grubby. This Cap Buddy cleaning system is a revolution. I didn't realise there was such an easy way to clean baseball caps! But apparently there is... and I've had the pleasure of seeing the results. The cleaning fluids are fantastic. They really get the caps super clean, especially the nasty looking sweatband inside! I never thought anything could shift that. Each product comes with indepth, detailed, yet very easy to understand instructions. They really know how to clean a hat! This cage is fantastic to make life super easy!I highly recommend this product.

Cleans baseball caps in the dishwasher
This is a novel product, but really helps with the problem of cleaning your favourite baseball cap. If you shove them in the washing machine they are likely to come out damaged and out of shape. With this product you have a frame, which holds the cap in shape. Initially this looks a bit big, but its made of some rigid but slightly compressible plastic, so it will fit your cap, but keep it in shape in the washing process. There is a detergent with it, which is more like a prewash, and you need to add a little detergent to the dishwasher whilst running it on its coolest cycle. You can dry the cap in its frame to ensure that it doesn't loose its shape then either. It worked and the caps I've used it on all cleaned well and without losing shape.Biggest drawback? A lack of English Instructions - if it gains these it will be perfect. As it is I keep having to check the Amazon product page. (Oh and comfort of fit is irrelevant).

Cap Buddy
This review is for the Cap Buddy Cap Washing frame. It’s plastic, so it needs somewhat delicate handing otherwise the bars will break. However, the plastic is slightly more durable, as if it was metal, it runs the risk of rust and then transference on to the fabric. On the one I received, it’s instructions are in German - not too much of a problem, as working out how to use it is easy. Put the cap in, and put in the top of your dishwasher.I would say this is made more for the American trucker cap, or a New Era cap - the more commonly found baseball or golf cap in the UK don’t work so well in the cage, due to the curve in the peak.I would suggest an eco wash on your dishwasher, around 50. The higher 65 temperature can cause a tiny bit of shrinkage, if the cap is wool or cotton. Also, put them in the top of your dishwasher, as it’s the steam that rises that washes the cap as much as the actual water.Overall though, for the right cap, it works really well. The cage helps keep its structured shape and prevents any colour bleed, something which can happen in washing machines when the fabrics touch.
