I recently got a PS4 Pro and realized the issues with the gen 1 PSVR processor unit and HDR pass-through not working. This switch a cheap and easy fix, assuming you have at least 2 HDMI ports free on your TV. The other nice thing is this switch has a remote control (while using the supplied IR receiver attachment). So as long as the IR receiver as a line of sight, the switch can be tucked away.So for me when playing on port 1 I have 4K and when I want to play PSVR I go to port 2.I made this review because it's hard to find 1 in 2 out units, or to know what will work. Hopefully this will help someone looking for a solution.

The item is not as described. It has two inputs and one output. Look carefully at the photo.This is what you buy to have two computers share one screen.

I purchased 10 HDMI 2.1 Switchers/Selectors and this was one (of only two) that worked to swap a PS5 between a Sony X90J TV and an Sony X85J TV!It still had issues when using the OEM PS5 cables as the output- I had to swap to some other HDMI Ultra High Speed Cables I had laying around.Nice build quality and useful remote. LED's aren't too bright either.

These things definitely need to be powered to perform as advertised

My application was 2 in, one out. A mini pc and an Xbox in and then 1 out to my tv HDMI port. I really did not want to mess with a remote control as both would never be on at the same time. I was hoping that this would switch automatically between the 2 when each was separately turned on. And I'm happy to report that is does. There is no need to install the infrared sensor and use the remote under this particular circumstance. If you have 2 monitors, they are both on at the same time and you want to switch between them you will have to install the included infrared sensor. Infrared is line of sight so you will have to mount the sensor so the remote control can see it. Or, if you have access to the switch there is a physical button on it that you simply push to alternately switch between the 2. Tip : I first used some really old usb power source I found in a drawer for power. The thing worked and then didn't switch at all, it was erratic, to say the least. I went back to the Amazon ad and in the very last section it stated to make certain you use a good / modern power unit. I chose a pretty standard one capable of 2 amps and the problem was solved. It now functions 100% of the time. You do not need anything special, any 2 amp or better one should be fine. So at the moment it works great. Turn on the xbox it works. Turn off the xbox and then turn on the pc it works great. No need for me to use the remote or push the button under this type situation. It switches automatically. I cannot comment on the remote's function as I did not need to use it. I did try the physical button and it switches back and forth, from 1 to 2, with each push. The materials, plastics, cables, sensor etc. seem to be of good quality. However I had to deduct 1 star on the price as there are others out there that are less expensive.

Llevo algunas semanas usándolo para poder cambiar de consolas en mi TV. El producto funciona tal cual lo anunciado. Solo como sugerencia haría el cable del infrarrojo más sutil (más corto y el punto infrarrojo más pequeño).
