This gallery picture light is like a ballerina...
The painting I needed this to go over was large with a thick frame, I've tried others that can't reach over the frame or tilt enough to light the painting. This light does all three, I was able to easily extend the arm out and over, then tilt the light exactly where I wanted it on the painting. It truly brought the painting to life. The quality and brushed gold finish is stunning. At 300 lumens it's just the right amount of light during the day and I can dim it at night. Now my painting seems to dance with light, like that ballerina.

Nice picture light
I can only speak to the quality but not the actual electronics of the light. It feels & looks nice & sturdy. I will need to hire someone to help put this up. I don't have the know-how to do it myself though I've done some things like this. I will do a proper update at that time.

Good looking picture light with average brightness
RECOMMENDATION:Thumbs Up – this picture light is a little large so make sure that it works for your situation and that 300 lumens will be enough illumination.THE GOOD:1. This light looks good but is a little on the larger side. It is a transitional design that is both more modern but pulls a lot from traditional designs.2. The construction is all metal and solid, but being hard-wired it does need a JBox to connect to.3. The lamp head is connected to the body using two connected arms, plus the head can be tilted as well. This provides a lot of aiming flexibility for the head, and with 2 arms you can get the head a fair distance from the wall for better picture illumination.4. The illumination is 300 lumens and it tested out at that level. That is not a ton, but should work OK for pictures in the same size range as the width of the lamp.5. It is dimmable but needs to be connected to a standard TRIAC dimmer to be used this way.6. There are no switches on the light itself as it is meant to be commented to a wall switch or equivalent.THE BAD:1. This is a pretty good light overall, although I would have liked to see a higher brightness level. At 300 lumens you will need to limit the size of pictures that you use this on.2. The technical information in the Amazon listing is not consistent with the descriptions in the same listing, including the lumens and the light color temperature. I have been seeing a lot of this from Chinese resellers not paying enough attention to their listing to get them accurate and this is just another example.

Perfect
This gallery light is exactly what I needed to highlight some artwork in my hallway. It is a lovely shade of gold, not to yellow or shiny, but not too dull or brassy either (the "Goldilocks" of gold colors, if you will). It has an adjustable arm to position over the artwork and the base is sturdy. This is definitely a quality item and I'm so glad I found it!

Very Adjustable Fixture
This picture light is well made from metal. The light fixture has numerous adjustments so that the illumination of your wall painting can be admired at its best lighting angle. The light is dimmable, which is a great feature. It is set up to be a hardwire installation. However, if you don't have a junction box above your painting for this light, as long as you have a receptacle down below it, I would sugest you do want I am doing with mine. It is easy and very cheap to purchase here on Amazon an electrical plug in cord with an in-line switch/dimmer. Even if there is a socket at the other end from the plug, just cut it off and attach the wire to the light. Then you have a plug in painting light. This is very easy to do and you can still enjoy this nice light without a major hassle The item is as described by the seller. I am very pleased with this item and believe you will be as well. Therefore, Dr. T. highly recommends this product!!

Nice construction.
Have yet to install, but everything looks good. All parts seem well constructed and the lamp looks nice. Will update review if I am ether wowed or disappointed once it is up and running.

Sleek Modern Design
Installed above an accent picture in our living room. The sleek minimalistic modern design provides uniform illumination without detracting from the picture. The dimming feature is nice, but the remote is small and easily misplaced. I will be purchasing additional units.

Measured and cut a hole in the Drywall/Wall and Inserted a new Electrical Box. Snaked Wire about 4-feet to the new switch. Easy Hook-Up.Make sure that the new DIMMER Switch is designed for 'LED' Lighting. Works Very, Very Well !I Highly recommend this QUALITY Black Picture Light ... it is Easily Adjustable and Looks Great !
