We have approximately 20 chicken guards in use, across a range of different models, and this is by far the most functional. It can be calibrated to close/open to a partial height which is great for the smaller coops, and it's so much easier to change the batteries in this All In One model. Another great product. The media could not be loaded.  18/12/2023The door arrived very quickly to replace an unbranded metal all in one door which was freezing closed or only partially opening at <10°C to -2°C trapping my chickens inside.To test it, I set it to winter mode, sprayed it all over with water and stuck it in the freezer at -19°C for 96 minutes.The door opened and closed immediately despite being iced over. Fabulous. The built-in battery test still read 6v after freezing.The door is superbly constructed - there's no fiddly screws to take out to get to the battery pack, the motor is powerful, geared and locks into position for added safety. The control panel works from the door or on the supplied extension lead so you can fit the door on the inside of the coop if you'd rather.If you're not a fan of batteries then it also runs from a 12v or 9v feed (you just need to get a lead to run into the control panel from your power supply). You can then use the app to check in with the door.The door is big enough for larger breeds, geese, turkeys and small to mid-sized dogs but I'm using it for chickens and have fitted it around my smaller sized existing chicken pop hole.The company are very helpful and their support team are great and quick to respond. Better still they are UK company!

It looked like a good unit and when it arrived it seemed really sturdy and good quality but never fitted it as i bought it during a really cold spell and didnt realise how big the holes are in the door until it arrived. Already have vents high up in coop so didnt like the idea of really cold air on the hens all night at perching height so sent it back. Could be good in some set ups but it was not for me

Bought to replace a cheaper one which failed after two days. Appears good quality, easy to fit and operate, and is still working after two weeks.

This has been great for the family and the girls.No more having to remember to let them out or going out in bad weather to open/close the door.Took a few days to get the settings right and we had to switch to timer rather than the light setting but it's great to have the different options.Could do with another for the door into their second run but hubby says the eggs are working out at about £50 an egg for what we have spent on them 😂

Really great piece of kit. It was easy to install, (even though I am the opposite of DIY). The controls made sense, and the chickens got used to it much quicker than I thought they woudl. The door is really sturdy metal, (not flimsy plastic like my other one!) and the sensor works a treat. I connected it to DC power cable and my coop camera so I dont have to think about batteries, which is a total win. Definitely worth the money to have the warranty

Brought this product after a few failures with the cheaper versions. Was nervous to spend the money at first but very happy i did now. Super easy to install, took me no time what so ever. Now that its set up the bad boys has been running smoothly and i get to sleep in. I'm super happy and would highly recommend !

This product is amazing giving us peace of mind that are chickens are in and safe.We did buy this product but we have larger size chicks (Bahamas) and as they are growing they are now hitting their heads so the product does say for larger breeds be mindful if you have the giants!Other than that I would recommend this to anyone

The media could not be loaded.  We installed this door in December; the beginning of winter. I was worried about any doors function in the cold snowy weather but this door is FANTASTIC. It is reliable, well built and I have had no problems with programming the open/close settings. The installation is easy and instructions well written. One thing I LOVE about this door is the size. I have an enormous rooster who needs adequate space and this door meets his needs. I highly recommend this door to anyone who wants to simplify their chicken keeping. We can go away for a couple of days knowing the chickens will be safely in their indoor coop when it gets dark.

The media could not be loaded.  We are very pleased with our ChickenGuard automatic coop door! We have had it for a week now and from day one it has worked very well! We have it set on light sensor setting. It opens at full light and closes at full dark. All our chickens have gotten in every night and already in roosting position way before the door closes. This door is a security luxury I never knew I really wanted till we got this door! Now I will never go back. Our coop will always have an automatic coop door! Highly recommend this door! Would purchase again!

Update op onderstaande review:Na mijn review heeft Chickenguard support contact met mij gezocht. Zij hebben excuus gemaakt en een oplossing geboden, inmiddels ben ik in het bezit van een werkende Chickenguard All-in-one!Achteraf ben ik blij met de support van Chickenguard en hoop nog lang gebruik te kunnen maken van dit product!Mijn oorspronkelijke (1-ster) review:Ontzettend teleurgesteld in Chickenguard:- de eerste keer de all-in-one besteld tijdens prime day met een leuke korting, deze deur is nooit verzonden!- opnieuw besteld, voor een hogere prijs, want ik wilde hem toch graag hebben. Helaas, de batterijhouder waar de AA batterijen in moeten ontbrak. Het advies van Chickenguard was om de unit terug te sturen naar Amazon. Omdat ik dit te veel gedoe vond heb ik een losse batterijhouder gekocht (was slechts 1,50 online). Toen ik de batterijen eindelijk kon plaatsen, bleek de unit defect (enkel de verlichting van het display ging aan, verder geen tekst en geen mogelijkheid om de deur in te stellen of te bedienen). Dus als nog retour gestuurd.- Derde unit besteld, maar helaas, ook deze is defect. De deur gaat maar enkele centimeters open en loopt dan vast, kalibreren, resetten, de deur een handje helpen werkt allemaal niet, dus deze ook retour gestuurd.Inmiddels ben ik het vertrouwen dat een volgende unit wel werkt verloren en zal dus geen all-in-one meer bestellen.
