My second tapo camera. 1st set up on wifi, second hard wired. Either option is working really well. You can run these without having to pay for a storage plan by using a micro sim. Very easy to set up and picture quality is excellent. Infra red recordings when dark , therefore black and white when dark. Easy to set up recording boundaries. Notifications excellent, within 5 seconds of video capture.

Ordered these for home security, only fitted one camera which was installed by an electrician friend. Connecting it to my phone and WiFi took a bit of a learning curve but managed to set it up ok. Day and night picture quality is very clear and it records everything really well. The only issues I have are sensitivity as despite using the settings to lower movement sensitivity and specify area, the camera picks up on tiny things like leaf and moth movement! It cannot seem to differentiate between a fox and a person so the notifications can be a nightmare if there is a windy day or lots of wildlife traffic in the garden. It would also be handy if the camera had a wider angle and if the view could be adjusted on the app. The camera microphone is very sensitive so picks up sound well, but somewhat noisy when it rains due to being close to a gutter! The second camera will be installed soon so looking forward to seeing a wider view of the property. Otherwise very happy with the camera and the Tapo app which allows other products in their range to be connected via WiFi and set up to suit the locations. I also have their doorbell and internal camera so can view and save footage on a card or to the cloud.

I bought the x2 pack, Amazing cameras for little money, easy to install, amazing picture quality, very easy to link to the app and setup, please remember to grab sd cards and install them, you'll be asked to initialise the sd card on the app, this formats it. Sound quality is amazing, the mention detection works very well. Night time footage is also very clear! Very well made cameras. Very happy!

I bought this camera to replace an old 720p camera we use to see what wildlife passes through our garden at night. The best thing about this camera is it’s value for money, the image quality is great and the camera has some brilliant features, such as two way audio (which is far better than I expected it to be!). So far so good….. What’s not so good on this camera is it’s motion detection systems. With or without motion zones set (and even setting the camera to its lowest sensitivity setting) pretty much everything triggers an alert. Rain and fog at night being the biggest problems for us so far. To be honest it’s so bad that the option is pretty much useless if you plan on using this camera outdoors. One solution I thought might help would be the person detection option, which isn’t standard with the camera as it requires a subscription to Tapo Care. However during a free trial I have sound it to be no better - cats, cars and rain all trigger many person alerts so it’s not with paying for Tapo Care unless you really need online storage. TP Link seem well aware of the problems with motion alerts, on their forum they are promising firmware updates in the future, but until they come don’t expect great things in regards to motion detection and alerts. This is a real shame as there are some interesting options, such as line crossing detection (I’m guessing for paths and driveways) which are available without Tapo Care so could be really good if TP Link deliver on the promised updates. One thing which is a mixed bag is the Tapo app, overall I like it and it’s very easy to use. Setting up a device takes a few minutes at most, but again it’s little things you expect to be part of the app which aren’t. We quite a few Tapo bulbs & plugs etc but at present there is no way to link these devices to the camera. I expected that a motion detection on the camera would be able to turn on a light etc for a set amount of time but no this isn’t possible. Once again TP Link say there are updates coming in future firmware releases but as of writing this review it’s not possible to link an the camera to other Tapo devices (although given how bad the motion detection alerts are this is maybe not a bad thing!!). Overall though I was still really impressed with the build quality, image quality and price of the cameras. So much so I ended up buying three in total, although only as we can get by ok without the motion alerts. If you don’t specifically need them this is a really good camera, however if these are crucial for your intended use I’d be tempted to look elsewhere.

I bought this camera and I’ve been blown away by the quality and features packed into such a compact device. I now have 8 of the Tapo cameras, 4 of which are this model. The quality is very good for the price and one of the main reasons I get them is the App is very easy to use. you can set up notifications for alerts and chenge the zone in case you have plants or trees that trigger it.

Awesome cameras

Very easy to set up video quality is very good and easy to mount on the walls . The best thing is is thing is you don’t have to have a subscription just get a memory card. I now have 3 cameras one inside and 2 outside and do just as good as the expensive ones.

Eğer Tapo ürünlerini kullanıyorsanız, Tapo uygulamasını da bilirsiniz; tüm ürünleri bu yazılım ile çok kolay bir şekilde kurulum yapabiliyorsunuz. Kamerayı tanıtmam en fazla 1 dakikamı aldı. Apartman merdiven boşluğunda (daire kapısında) kullanmak üzere aldığımı hatırlatarak, öncelikle görüntü kalitesinden başlayayım; Görüntü mükemmel değil fakat gayet yeterli; her şeyi rahatlıkla görebiliyorsunuz, görüntü neredeyse tam net ve akıcı. Yani yüzler anlaşılıyor fakat zoom yapınca elbette biraz fazla bozulmaya başlıyor. Daire kapısı için bence çok doğru bir karar. Gece görüşü gri-beyaz oluyor ve bu da yeterli. Kamera üzerinde aktif olduğuna dair LED var ve bunu isteğe göre açıp kapatabiliyorsunuz. Caydırıcı olması açısından açık kalmalı ve ideal bir özellik. Hareket algılaması gayet başarılı, hareketten en fazla 3-5 saniye sonra cep telefonuna bildirim geliyor ve harekete özel kaydedilmiş videoyu izleyebiliyorsunuz. İçinden, doğru vidalama yapabilmeniz için vidaların gelmesi gereken yerleri gösteren bir etiket çıkıyor, duvara yapıştırıp, üstünden deliyorsunuz. Gayet ince düşünülmüş. Telefondan, kamera ile sesli görüşme yapabiliyorsunuz. Eğer bir ayarı kaçırmadıysam -ki sanmıyorum; pek verimli bir performans değil gibi, sesi hem az, hem de kalitesiz, dolayısıyla bazen telefondan iletilen konuşma, kameradan net anlaşılamıyor. brauchte etwas Einfaches für die Haustür ... und habe diese Kamera als für meine Belange perfektes Objekt bekommen. Gutes Bild, Tonqualität ok, und die Möglichkeit eine Sirene aufheulen zu lassen - perfekte Abschreckung. Sehr gutes Preis-/ Leistungsverhältnis. Schnell geliefert. Allerdings aufgrund der Internet-Provider-Probleme hier auf dem Land mit Kabel an der Fritzbox. Auch kein Problem.
