Easy to use
I can’t think of anything I disliked about the shoes. I think Orthofeet is a real answer for me who has worn orthotics for many years. I have always had to stick with New Balance or ASICS with limited styles which also limited how I could dress (ie a dress doesn’t look appropriate with gym shoes). Lastly,I am a retired occupational therapist, and wished that such a shoe had been available to those patients I worked with who are physically challenged, especially those who wanted to be able to wear tie shoes rather than Velcro closure.

The answer to the pain and fatigue!
My favorite part about these shoes are the extra insoles and arch support that come with the shoe. They are separate when you get the shoe but you can add as much or not use them at all. I am managing plantar fasciitis and rheumatoid arthritis. These shoes are so cute, but are the answer to the pain and fatigue that these two conditions bring to my feet. My second very favorite thing is that they don’t have to be tied every time. And the Velcro is somewhat disguised. I have owned three pair of these shoes. These shoes are what keep me walking!

My feet have never been so happy
I work in a grocery store and spend 8-10 hours a day on my feet. By the time I get home, my feet and lower back are very sore. I have tried other shoes that are designed for people who stand all day. These are the best shoes I have found. I have Plantar Fasciitis on both feet, and these shoes do exactly what the ad says they will do. The support is unmatched, and my feet are not sore or tired at the end of the day. I do not know why I didn't get these sooner. I will be ordering a second pair soon.

They run short
I wear an 11. I had to send back as they hurt my toes, and ran wide for me , but I imagine that is what most customers like.

Best Shoe for Plantar Fasciitis
I wanted to wait a week before writing about this shoe as I felt it would allow me to more accurately rate the shoe. Why did I buy this shoe? Because I had a painful fasciitis of my right heel of my own doing! I was doing my power walks with the WRONG shoe. I was using an expensive Nike shoe that was built for running. What did I do to improve the situation? First, I took non-steroidals (OTC )on a regularly scheduled basis. I tried the Extra Strength Tylenol, but it was not enough. I switched to Aleve and used the loading dose of 2 tabs in the morning followed by 1 tab in the evening and 1 tab every 12 hours for 5 days thereafter. I used this time to bring the heel inflammation in check whilst I looked for shoes. My search was based upon online reviews and comments from other walkers that I know. I narrowed the shoe down to a New Balance model versus this shoe. I ordered both shoes. The Orthofeet won because it had the best arch support relative to the New Balance shoe I had tried. I wore the shoes the first day for about 4 hours and I had no problems. They were easy to break in. This shoe, coupled with my week of scheduled OTC non-steroidals has resulted in resolution of the fasciitis. I moved on this quickly as fasciitis left untreated can become harder to manage. I purchased the shoe in white. The product did not get 5 stars only because it would be nice to have a few more colour options. The shoe laces are also a wee bit long. While they feel like an orthopaedic shoe, they do not look overly so. I give it a "dork factor"of a 5/10. It's not the most stylish shoe on the block, but it addresses the issue and allows me to go back to my power walks. My feet do not feel fatigued in these shoes after wearing them all day. I use a Smartwool Light Cushion crew sock. My medium weight Smartwool hiking socks are too thick for this shoe. The shoe comes with inserts to improve fit. For me, the fit was fine right out of the box. I wear a size 9 medium in a street shoe. I purchased a 9.5 medium and this worked well. At the highest point of the arch is where the greatest width of the shoe can be found. My toe was in the correct position with the 9.5 and the sock that I have mentioned. A friend routinely orders the New Balance in wide and street shoe length, but I would definitely go a half size up and keep your normal width when purchasing this shoe. I think I will be sticking with these shoes from here onward. It is the best supporting shoe for this price class. It is worth the money. Cheers!

Nice walking shoe.
Walk everyday and my new ortho shoes feel great. They are light weight but give good support to feet. Toes aren't cramped, arch support is adequate (after inserting the extra support that came with shoes). No heel slipping. Love the Velcro closure that let's the shoestring stay tied. Nice looking shoe.

So comfortable for REALLY bad feet!
I have terrible problems with my feet. I have something called Charcot-Marie Tooth, which has nothing to do with my teeth, but everything to do with my feet. It's a degenerative bone/connective tissue disorder that caused my feet to become horribly mis-shapen & almost too painful to walk on. I've had numerous surgeries and wear big, thick, heavy ankle braces to protect my feet. It has been nearly impossible to find shoes that will accommodate those braces! My normal shoe size is really a 6.5W, but I bought a 8.5 4E in this shoe, and miraculously, it is almost perfect! I've NEVER had a shoe that wasn't custom made for me that fit this comfortably. And this is UNBELIEVABLY COMFY!! My feet have always ached, and with these, I feel like I'm walking on marshmallows! Also, the Velcro system that allows you to put the shoe on/take it off without unitying the laces is a Godsend. (After lacing up & tying braces who wants to also tie shoes??)I am seriously in love with my shoes! You can completely remove the insoles, or just 1 or 2 layers or add extra arch support. If you have really bad feet (or just want to have comfy feet) these shoes are for you!

Orthofeet make excellent footwear; high quality.
Orthofeet Most Comfortable Orthotic Athletic Shoe. The 9.5 fit like a size 10. The back of the ankle was too wide and didn't provide enough support. The toe bed was very comfortable. I have bunions and hammer toes. Orthofeet make excellent footwear; high quality. They were a good price and I didn't want to pass them up, so my friend took them.
