My mom's dog is very active, and it also likes to stand up and look at things on the cabinet. This makes my mom worry about whether it will cause trouble, especially when she is doing household chores, particularly in the kitchen. I bought her this retractable gate. It's easy to install; you just need to fix both sides to the wall. When in use, pull the retractable gate and secure it with the buckle on the other side to separate the kitchen. With the black mesh barrier, the dog can only move around outside and cannot enter the kitchen. This retractable gate has become a great helper for my mom.

I have a large opening that I needed to fence in on our porch to help keep our dogs contained. Most baby gates are not wide enough for the area but this one is. It was easy to install. It works pretty well although it doesn't roll back up super smoothly if it is extended all the way. You mind if have to help it along. It feels sturdy though and serves the purpose.

This retractable baby gate is very easy to install and also very easy to operate. It is nice that once you have it retracted there is no bars to step over or gate doors to open. The gate can be opened or closed with one hand which is perfect for when you are carrying a lot of stuff like groceries into the room. The gate is nice quality and would make a perfect gift. I would not put this at the top of the stairs but I think it would be fine at the bottom of the stairs to keep a little one from going up them. I just see how my older granddaughter plays with the retractable gate making me feel like it would be safe at the top of the stairs since she likes to try to walk through it when it is fully extended to try to extend it more.

I bought this for a room that is very large. I need to separate the space so my toddler doesn't get into the other half of the room. I still use the room very often since it has our laundry room & garage. The gate is not easy to get in and out of since you have to go to the other side to unlock it each time. This might be a good feature if you weren't opening and closing it often. My 2 year old son can also crawl underneath the gate. And when you roll up the gate it easily gets tangled. It would be better if it was reinforced at the bottom.

This gate is strong and durable.  It is easy to set up and place.  We use this gate to keep our pup from wandering upstairs when we aren't with him.  He can get into things he shouldn't, so we try to keep him near us.  The gate is made out of quality materials and feels like it should last a long time.   The gate is designed to retract and it is an easy process to open and close it.  The gate is compact in size so it does a good job of saving space.  A nice choice for a gate that does a good job of setting a barrier for your pups.
