i wish this was resin. the company i bought this at gave me a second one because they ran out of stock, which is good because i can compare them. These are made of some kind of brownish red wood. and while it looks pretty it has issues. for one, the seams. the wood is rather small on this, and i don't see why they felt the need to glue tiny scrap together, but the seems, i can feel them. hard to say if they will break down the line. the tool is kind of sharp at first, so make sure to sand it in spots.i've been using the tool for a little while now, and one of them has developed a strange smell, if i had to peg it down to something, i would say it smells like an elephant. sort of organic and animal like. that smell gets on my hands. i can only guess it's the wood or the oil in the wood. in any case, this tool in resin, i would get again.the shapes are useful, the thumb shape is good on arms, the same tool flipped around, acts like a dense smalls scrapper. the scraper side has a guasha like effect and its useful for feet along arch muscles. and the point, i don't care for. the shape of the tool is tricky for some spots on your own body because its no longer ergonomic
