Guinness World Records 2013

I have gotten several of these books (one per year) for my son, now age 10. He was a precocious reader and is really into statistics, facts, and unusual bits of information. As such, this book was right up his alley. I plan to get the next one in the fall when it comes out, too. I haven't read it myself, so here are my son's comments: "It was really interesting and has a lot of good information. It would be good for someone who likes lots of facts. There are good pictures."

Very informative.The book was bought for my son for the Joey Sylvester and the Bad Habit Monster Truck beating the World Record Jump, Which has since been broken again by Dan Runte and Big Foot Monster Truck.Joey will be making another attempt this Sept to break it again....I learned things I didn't know I wanted to know. Fun to read through!

This book is really really cool and comes alive. There is an iPhone/ipad app that works in conjunction with the book. You aim the camera at the book page and you receive a moving visual of what you are looking at. My kids love it.

Obviously, unlike the hardcover or paperback, one does not flit through pages aimlessly, but rather has some idea as to what you want to see, although one can randomly jump around. The amount of information available is vast, and one must be disciplined in searching for items required.The beauty is that the information is available for ever even if outdated. It is one of those keep for ever books.

I bought this for my kids 9 and 4 years old so that I can teach them the world records through these. Hopefully they will start taking life challenging and inspiring and try to do things innovatively. Every thing about this book is great other than the price. I saw this in ToysRUs for $30. The same day I saw this for $10 less in Amazon. So, I ordered it in Amazon for a good deal. Definitely this money will be worth for my kids.

I purchased the Guinness Book of World Records 2013 for my 10 yr old nephew for Christmas. When it arrived (really fast with prime shipping) I could not stop reading it myself! I didn't want to open to book all the way or crease any of the pages, so I did read through & looked at the great photos very carefully. But once I wrapped it, I could hardly wait to give it to him, mainly so I could read it more!

This book was a gift for my Great Grandson. He was very thrilled to receive this gift. At school you had to share this book and you couldn't take it home and you had to share with the whole class. He was so happy to receive his own personal copy and could read it whenever he wanted and for how long he wanted to. Kids love this book! The look on his face was so worth it.

My students love the Guinness World Records books. If one is returned, and I put it on display, the students scope out what is available and eye it. When it is time to get up to get books, it is snatched off the shelf. When other students come into myschool library, they ask if I have any copies to take out. My answer is usually, "No, they are all gone. Other students beat youto it."
