I bought this for my nephew who turned 6. He was having issues finding tools that were not made of plastic, but we’re still safe for kids his age to use. This is a great option for those who are old enough to understand the concept of gardening. Would definitely recommend for anyone over the age of 5. Comes with everything you need to get started!

My nearly 3-year-old grandson absolutely loves this. Just watch your child with some of the tools, although plastic, they are a tad bit sharp.

My family loves to garden and grow our own food. My grandmother was an avid gardener and my kids and I have grown our own vegetables and flowers. We live in Chicago and have several raised beds. My son and wife bought a house and installed some raised beds as well. My granddaughter is turning 2 and she loved showing me her garden last year. This year I am seeding the mindset by giving her these for Easter. I can’t wait until she shows her “Nona” her new vegetable garden. These are so cute and they look durable.

Works great for teaching early gardening for your toddler

My kids (6 and 3) LOVE garden play and can spend hours playing in the dirt. This set is a big hit with them! The tools are metal & wood, while the watering can and spray bottle (a perennial favorite) are plastic. They are sturdy and functional for actual digging in our hardpack "garden." My son loves sticking the plant labels all over as if he has planted seeds, looking forward to the day when I actually plant a garden with him (my thumb ain't so green). The bag is a great bag and will fit all the tools easily. This will be very functional for actual gardening, as is the apron. The bucket hat is a cute addition-- it's actually reversable, one side bright blue and one side Burberry plaid. The gloves are a perfect fit for my 6-year-old and are stretchy so he will be able to use them for a while. They're still a bit large for my 3-year-old, but she still happily wears them without trouble.This is packaged in a plain cardboard box, so while the contents are giftable, you may want to repackage in a gift bag or similar if you want to gift it, since the excitement of opening wrapping to a carboard box isn't the greatest for kiddos.
