Ghosts of Manhattan: Legendary Spirits and Notorious Haunts (Haunted America)

This book covers the general area of Manhattan with brief histories each building and area. Mist entries are very short, with maybe 2-3 sentences and many entries don't mention any type of paranormal activity. Some of the more major historical locations are given a good amount of background information.I was not impressed with this book as a whole and the literature was spotty at best.

The book is very entertaining, well written and a little bit of history in it, I recommend it just brings to mind memories of some of the places described in the book.

This book was all over the place. Not very organized and some stories didn’t even talk about haunting sat all.

What a great book. Easy to read, full of photos, and interesting stories behind the most haunted houses and places in NYC. Highly recommended for any Ghost Fan, Haunted House Fan, or just visiting New York and doing something different.

If you're looking for bits of Manhattan history, you'll probably find this book worthwhile. But if you're hoping for the occasional frisson of supernaturally-induced fright, you'll be disappointed.

Just ask the author of this book.Written in a childlike manner and hugely disappointing without any reference to the actual spot (address).I wasn't impressed at all with this book and thought I wasted my money...was aggravated just a few chapters in.There are much more impressive books available on this topic.
