So jpmuch better than a hand pump
I bought this to replace the one I lost. Very effective and easy to carry. So much better than a hand pump. Once the CO2 cartridge is fully screwed in place, it seals well on the tire valve and will inflate the tire completely. You’ll likely expend the cartridge on one tire, or close to anyway. Being that they are so small, it is easy to lose while riding your bicycle. But in a race, this is so much better than a pump, and as stated takes so much less room. Great product!

Great little emergency air supply
This is a wonderful item to keep with you on those long bike treks that can be a lifesaver in the event of a tire problem. Compared to a conventional pump, it's way smaller and lighter to carry, and should you need it, it will have you on the road again in just a few seconds. It's a small, solid unit that looks like it would last forever. Machined nicely and precisely, it fits all of the tires I've tried it on easily and securely, operating without leaks or other problems. I've tried three brands of CO2 cartridges and they've all fit perfectly. As other reviewers point out, you need to watch the O-ring. Mine came out the first time I tested it...a thin coating of vaseline seems to have helped it seat better and it hasn't happened since. If you have aging, arthritic hands like mine, it's also a terrific way to inflate your tires without coming the aches and pains a conventional pump causes. You do need a fair bit of strength to operate the trigger, but for me it's easier than the grip and motion a conventional pump requires. I did find that the 16g CO2 cartridges are marginal...definitely recommend the larger 25g ones instead.

Worth it
I like this because it is metal, small, controllable, and o-rings. The first thing I did when I got it was to let the air out of my front tire to test it. For those who have not used this before, you should know that to trigger it required me to cross my thumbs on the outside of the tire and clasping my fingers over the canister and trigger and squeeze pretty hard. The (shrader) valve will sink in from the pressure and you won't hear much of a hiss or rushing air like you would at the gas station air pump. One 16g will fill my 700X35 to about 110psi and I have to let out air to get it to where I need it. One of the canisters I ordered was mostly a dud but would have had enough gas in it to get me home. So It don't hurt to carry 3 and a pump. I tried this 3 times until I had the hang of it. Rumor has it that CO2 molecules leak through the innertube and you have to eventually replace lost gas with air. If that's the case, I will update this if I can. I would have given it a 5 if it had a readable gauge attached but that would be more money and larger item for the seat bag. This is probably as good as it gets for this type system. I didn't want a pump because they wear out when you need it the most and I won't be going out of cell service area too often. One last thing - I think if you screw the inflator onto the valve first and then screw in the canister it is a lot easier.Update: 3 days later I check the tire pressure and; The rumor is true, you will need to refill with air but not that much. The tires at 90psi after I filled with C02 and when I checked it three days later both were near 70psi. IMO Co2 system is only for making roadside emergencies easier.

I love these!
With my entire family mountain biking, including kids on mountain bike teams, we need a lot of gear. I have four of these now, and there are reasons I keep buying them... they're super tiny and light, and they are great to use.I know people with inflators that are a little easier to use, but they're HUGE. I know that non-threaded CO2 bottles are cheaper, but the inflators for them are HUGE. This is SO tiny and light... it's worth the trade-offs.

Does NOT shut off!
The individual pieces look to be very well made, but the assembled unit is sub-par; not what I would expect from Lezyne. Once screwed into the C02 cartridge it immediately starts leaking air from the trigger; you have enough time to attach to your tube before the canister fully discharges, but you loose a good 10 - 15%. Also, if you do buy this, make sure and use something to insulate your finger(s) on the trigger mechanism. The provided sleeve works well for the canister itself, but the head/trigger also gets freezing, and will damage your digits.

CO2 Inflator works so well you almost look forward to getting a flat
I purchased this about a year ago and just had to use it for the first time. It worked great! I screwed the inflator onto the presta valve and then screwed the CO2 cartridge in. The ability to partially inflate the tube by pressing and then releasing the trigger is a definite plus - makes partially inflating the tube to ease installation a breeze. While the little neoprene sleeve for the CO2 cartridge does help prevent getting a cold burn from the cartridge, the metal portion of the inflator does still get very cold so using gloves or placing a cloth over the metal might be a good idea. One 16g cartridge was adequate to inflate the tire enough to get me home comfortably.

Perfect design. Best minimalist inflator out there.
Perfect design. Have literally tried every model available. The difference is Lezyne's ingenious thread-on design. Just like Lezyne's pumps, this inflator screws onto the valve stem (presta and shrader) creating a perfect and stable, absolutely airtight seal. Once screwed on, you can thread the cartridge and there is no leakage anywhere. Compressing the inflation mechanism allows perfectly controlled inflation. Just like all minimalist inflator designs, it does get freezing cold, so you will need something to touch this device especially toward the end of inflation. The sleeve only helps a little.
