Very Sharp, cuts flush, lasts great
I love Xuron tools! I have used all their tools and the cutters are SHARP and fantastic for cutting the silver & copper sheet that I use to make my jewelry. I've given them to friends when I received complements on them, I have a pair at home, and a pair at work. However, I ruined the tips by trying to use my current pair as a solder pick! SO GLAD these non-serrated were on sale! Wow, great price.

Have ordered these 3 separate times, giving them to my metal smithing friends.
I have used these to cut through 16 gauge sterling, a real powerhouse of a cutting tool.

Xuron 9180NS is the real deal!
Authentic, made in USA. I’m using Xuron 9180NS to cut Fireline for jewelry bead projects. I struggled to make clean, close cuts on Fireline with any other tool. Rather than ruining my expensive Wiss scissors (which did not make a clean or close cut), I invested in this Xuron cutter, which is amazing! This Xuron tool cuts through tough Fireline like butter. One snip and it’s a perfect cut! Totally worth the twenty bucks to save your good scissors.

It is practically scissors
Not sure why they are called cutters- look like scissors to me.

Super shears, almost five star
These are really great shears and I almost hate not to give them a five star rating. I got them primarily for electronics, snipping battery tabs and copper sheeting. There aren't many micro shears that can hold up to actually cutting metal and also still be able to use the tips effectively for notching or flush-ish cuts while not deforming the metal terribly. These do great, we'll see how long they last but they seem like they should and will also be simple to sharpen when needed. Grips are grippy and comfortable. And because new shears just make you want to cut everything in sight, I tested them on various things including rubber automotive fuel hose, clear silicone tubing, hard molded rubber tabs about 5mm thick, 8 gauge stranded copper wire, 2mm solid carbon fiber rod (actually did ok), rubber sheet plumbing gasket material, heat shrink tubing, and various sizes of electronic and plumbing solder wire - precision clean cuts on everything and they are stout enough that you can apply considerable side pressure to sort of force some trimming/flush cutting if need be. I would not use these for repetitive metal wire cutting (get side cutters/nippers for that) but they do cut well at least down to 18 gauge copper. The slight negatives are that the spring is a bit stronger than necessary or typical (for electronics bench tools) and also kind of in the way/bulky compared to handle spring designs on other tools - but it isn't horrible. And they really should have either a lock to keep them closed or a good hard plastic molded tip cover. They come with a short piece of flexible pvc tubing like you can get in any hardware store but it stretches out under the handle spring pressure and doesn't really keep them closed or protected. I made a better one with some 1/2" pex pipe and a heat gun. I'll definitely recommend these and will pick up another pair when that day comes.

Great pair of cutters!
I have ordered several thread cutters and these have been the best so far. These cut any thread without holding tension on the thread which means that I can cut using one hand without putting my work down and losing my place. Awesome! Have used for over a year and they have kept their edge and cutting ability as if they were new.

Best metal sheet shears I've found
These are sharp, durable and inexpensive. They leave a nice, clean edge on sheet metals. These have become a favorite tool and I reach for them all the time.

Not good for my use
I like the quality and spring, but they won’t actually work for anything I use, than cutting fire line but only off the spool which isn’t worth $25 when alot of tools can do that. It big for my hand and opens too wide. The beak is too wide and is not a flush cutter, so It didn’t work for cutting tiny threads sticking out of a delicate project. If that’s what your looking for, xuron has flush cutters

Great snips!
I got these for my silverwork and I love them. Light and clean, they cut silver and solder beautifully.

Great quality cutters.
Perfect cutters ideal for just cutting a small opening in a shield surround on a mobile phone mainboard so that you can gain access to small SMD components and replace them. Excellent quality and a good price.
