JVL11-323 Conway Modern Fireside Accessory Log Coal Holder, Black, Steel, 41 x 47 x 30 cm

Wanted something to go on the hearth to replace a rather scruffy wicker basket. This looked neat (not too fancy, unlike some of the other black metal things) and not expensive, although I wasn't sure it would hold enough. But it is fine - holds around 10 logs (obviously depends on how big they are!), more than enough for one session. Not that good for carrying logs - the handle doesn't feel very solid and the shape makes it a bit awkward (for me, anyway). So we load it 'in situ'. Overall well pleased.

Value for Money

Sturdy log carrier, and looks pretty good too by the fireplace. The only minor criticism is that the base could do with some rubber feet. We have a slate fireplace and was a bit concerned about scratches, so glued some rubber pieces on before using it.

Very well made, easy to assemble and looks great beside the fire.

The product was sealed in its plastic cover, but was damaged on the main part where you put the logs.

I bought an electric log burner, but wanted to display real kindling just to add to the effect. I shopped around, and this little gem came in at the best price and the right look. I absolutely love it, and everyone who visits comments on how great it looks. Fake it til you make it, I always say!

I love this! Really simple to put together and I could carry in 9 logs with ease. The design is well thought through, the base stops bits/ dirt falling on floor, the handle is good to hold and it's not too big plus a good price!
