Great family movie. Our granddaughter loves it.

Decent, a little crude at points, but not egregiously so
We enjoy the story over all. The climactic scene is particularly moving (the little bow, in particular). The movie as a whole is cartoonish at points, but it's consistent with the style and not distracting. There are a few crude points, particularly with the courting of the ugly possible spouse, that could have been left out without issue, but they weren't bad enough to skip the movie entirely. I think the kids were just confused by them whereas they just seemed unnecessary and embarrassing to an adult.4 stars.

Hilarious film for all ages
Very funny movie with outstanding English child actors and, of course, the great Emma Thompson as Nanny McPhee.

It's a great movie but DVD had a scratch so we were unable to watch it, it now lives in the trash. Should have known better when the shipping was three times more than the movie.

A modern day Mary Poppins.....without the irritatingly catchy songs!
I like Nanny McPhee....my children are maybe a little young for it still but who said it was for them anyway?!?Colin Firth is a bumbling dad, recently bereaved and struggling with his tear away children until Nanny McPhee arrives like a modern day Mary Poppins....without bursting into song every ten minutes or so. Although there is absolutely nothing wrong with a spoonful of sugar I'll have you know!Great film, good for laughs and has good morals running through it too.

Part of a recommended DOUBLE FEATURE.
Good grief, Charlie Brown! I saw this for £3 and jumped on it.The second one is £5, making the REGION-FREE Blu-rayscheaper than the DVDs. Since I live in Germany, and haveAmerican equipment---so to speak---I'm all set if just aboutANY nationality kid drops by.I've seen this one; not viewed the second, yet.
