a very handy and easy to use and easy to clean device. Makes the best creamy mashed potatoes effortlessly . I don't think they mention in the description that the cylinder comes out for very easy cleaning of both parts then securely slips back in.

Bought this ricer because I realized I no longer have my mother's old-timey (1950) one. Fortunately my sister has it. I never make mashed potatoes BUT I seem to need the ricer now as memorabilia and for show-and-tell. Members of my writing class had no idea what a ricer is. Sweet memories.

Was made of very thin cheap metal - will not hold up for long. I remember one my mom had that lasted forever. Guess those days are gone.

I wish I could give this a 1/2 star or less for sturdiness. I’m not a weightlifter or anything, but squeezing the handles together durin* normal operation deformed it within a short time so that it will no longer work. You can force it back into shape, but that also makes me think it should not be that easy to do. It’s hard to believe this is stainless steel when it can be bent so easily. It’s like it’s made of old coffee cans or tuna cans. Absolutely terrible. I would return it, but it’s not even worth me going to the drop-off stop. Going straight to the town recycling center. I’m going to look for a more sturdy model, maybe buy one at a brick-and-mortar store.

I used this to make cheesy potatoes and this was definitely super helpful . If you need to have your food nice and fine this is the way to go.

Had to return this item due to the pressing part being bent. Not sturdy and difficult to press.Easy to clean.
