Bought for this un believable heat while in our sunroom. Worked perfectly for the summer. We now can enjoy a room we spent good money to create. Easy to use with shut off automatically to keep room comfortable,great value for the money. Quiet as a mouse, puts out good air quality.

Do not buy this product. It worked well for a week then slowly started dropping off. A month on and it doesn’t blow cold air at all. Amazon won’t take a return now so I’m stuck with a $400 broken air conditioner. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Well my unit arrived on Tuesday, took over a week to get here and in all honesty if it had taken UPS any longer I would have been fishing pieces of the A/C out of what was left of the box. It was so close to being obliterated, even the straps around the box had started tearing into the cardboard. But the unit was well packed in styrofoam and survived the UPS torture test. This thing is heavy and blows some really cold air. I let it sit upright for 6hrs after i got it before i cranked it on. The temperature in my very large bedroom with high vaulted ceilings was 84 degrees. Within 30 mins the temperature had dropped to 78. I was impressed. The only thing I really do not like is the remote has no backlight. It’s also pretty loud on high fan speed with the compressor running too because it also has its own fan blowing the hot air out. Overall a very nice A/C i just hope it lasts for more than just 1 summer. Paid $259 with amazon flash sale, a very good price indeed. The hose size is 5.9in, its 14,000 btu ASHRAE and 10,000 btu DOE. After unboxing let the unit sit upright for 6hrs before using the cooling function. This allows lubricating oils and refrigerants for the condenser to settle back where they belong. Also, even though the hose can be extended for a good length it’s best to try and keep the length to less than two feet from the unit to the exit port. If the fan for the condenser is not strong enough to exhaust the hot air the back pressure can build up in the unit and cause the condenser to fail over time.Late summer-early fall heatwave here, October 7, 2024, and my unit is still going strong and blowing cold air like the first time I used it. I live in NorCal and our weather is kind of all over the place and i basically run it for a couple hours on hot nights and it gets my room down to 68. I have about a 750sq ft condo and only 1 door separates my bedroom from the other half and this A/C is not sufficient enough to cool the entire place, but thats ok. If it had been 1 big 750 sq ft room i have no doubt it could cool it. I also have 15ft vaulted ceilings so the volume of air having to be cooled off is like double. Ill update again in the near future. Sorry to read some other reviews of their units failing in such a short time. My unit seems like its in this for the long haul

Works well in medium sized rooms. However, it does strain to keep up when outdoor temperature and humidity levels are 85 degrees and above. Slightly noisy, I would not recommend it for a bedroom unless it is on the lower settings

I had two previous portable ACs that had issues. They are all 14,000 BTUs and failed within 2~3 years. The Haier Portable Air Conditioner's cooling is so weak that it is almost the same as the fan and flapping panel switch every hour. The GE one makes crazy noise with vibration, wifi does not work, leaks water, frezing up, and flapping the panel every 2~3 hours.I purchased this AC 2~3 weeks ago and used it yesterday for the first time. so far, this new AC was cheapest, quite, ice cold air and powerful enough cooling and holding 700sq living room.  It has a water drain hose in the box, which I have never seen in previous ACs, but it seems like it has a self-evoking water function, so there is not a drop of water yet.I also purchased a 4-year warranty but hopefully do not use it.I will keep update.

Had this unit for almost a month now and it cools down a large space very well! I have an HVAC company. And I will set these up in your home to keep you cool until new unit is ready to install. Unit has satisfied multiple customers already! I do recommend it.

Right out of the box the duct hose doesn't fit so more hot air than should be legal escapes.The body gets very hot so it's definitely not effective in a room over 100 sf.The thermostat doesn't work properly so you have to keep turning it down until your cold then turn it up again. I thought it stopped working and contacted the seller twice and have never gotten a reply.Recently it just stopped working entirely. Yesterday it was 109 F with heat index of 114 F.Do yourself a favor, forget pride and get a window unit until you can afford a mini split.

I NEVER write reviews but after putting up with a substandard air conditioner that only lasted 2 years, I ended up purchasing this one and had to write. I got it yesterday and I'm in love!!!!!!! It's everything my other air conditioner wasn't. It's quiet! It has strong air flow and the coolest air ever. Just taking it out of the box for the first time, it took a couple minutes for the "cool" to start but all of a sudden you hear it kick in and it's wonderful. I checked out some other name brand air conditioners with "good reviews" from thousands of purchases but being a person who always looks at the '1 & 2' star reviews first, a lot had the same complaints I had with my old air conditioner. This had minimal reviews but they were ALL 5 stars with people raving about it. I'm glad I gave it a try :)
