These are great and they work really well, no problems that I can find so far only thing is they take a lot of batteries 6 AAA in each. But I guess thats because they have to power the motors for grinding with a lot of power.

These are fab.I have had USB charger ones recently but they were really temperamental and lost full power quickly and seemed to run weakly. I switched back due to poor quality charge ports on the last pair, and have returned to battery type as I have lots of rechargeable batteries. It may seem a luxury to msny people but..... my disabilities mean these are fab for me and not at all unnecessary luxury....Very glad I chose these as they grind better, serm stronger and are good in the gravity response too.The light is super handy too.All in all, I'm very pleased and just have to wait on checking the long term lifespan of the product. They feel pretty robust too so I reckon they'll be just dandy. 18 months will be fine for me as they get heavy usage.

Straight out of the box I am impressed with these salt and pepper mills. I love the cool brushed steel look of them, and the large capacity seasoning container. The transparent seasoning container is some form of plastic, the listing says acrylic; and holds a good quantity of seasoning.I loaded them up with batteries and tested them with sea salt crystals in one and peppercorns in the other. There's a grey knob on the top that you turn to adjust the coarseness of the grind: clockwise for finer and anti-clockwise for coarser; and that worked well after a bit of playing around to get the grind I wanted. The grind is quite slow, I think slower than my usual hand mill, but that makes it easy to ensure you don't over-season the food.So the pros are that they work well and look good.Cons: I'm really unsure about the plastic containers. Some plastics, including acrylic, can yellow with age and use, and some etch with some spices. So I'm not sure how these will age. The second 'con' is that each mill takes SIX AAA batteries, so 12 are needed for the set of two. This seems extraordinarily battery-hungry, and they would be better if they were rechargeable instead.My verdict is that I'll give these three stars because they look good and do the job well. I'm docking two stars for the plastic containers and high battery need. If you really like these, they're an OK set for the price (£14.99). I wouldn't buy them.

The media could not be loaded.  I ordered these salt and pepper grinders as we didn't have a set of the electric ones and I liked the chunky look of this set. Having used them for a few days now I'm very impressed with them.Likes• They have large containers, so you aren't having to fill them up often.• They are easy to fill as they have large openings to the containers, and the containers unscrew easily.• The coarseness is very easy to adjust.• The built in light helps if you are using it in dim light.• They are quiet when grinding.• You don't need to press a button to operate themDislikes• They are quite heavy to hold with one hand• They take 6 batteries each grinderOverall I'm very pleased with them and more than happy to recommend them.
