It does what it says it'll do, and it does it really well!
I've been using this daily for well over a month now. It's great! No muss or fuss, just an easy to use pedometer And you can't shake a stick at the price. Well, you could shake a stick at it, but then you'd be standing around shaking a stick for no good reason when you should be out using this great pedometer!

Doesn't work
Can't get it work. I follow instructions for "steps", reset to "0", put it in my pocket and nothing happens. Does not pick up any steps. I then tried again, and after resetting toC "0", hit "set". Same result. Don't know if I'm doing something wrong or the item is defective. Can't find any mfr. name on item to contact them. I will try a couple of more time to see if it works but will probably have to return.

this is a well made pedometer and easy to use
This pedometer works well, but is HUGE. It is also very loud (every click can be heard while I walk) so I will not be wearing this at all, since everyone within a 3 mile radius could hear and see my pedometer. But I want to be clear, this is a well made pedometer and easy to use. Just not for me!**RealAlt responded to my review and provided a full refund, while offering to send me the newest version of this pedometer. They were kind, professional and appreciative of my business. I will definitely do business with this company in the future!**

It worked perfectly at first.
I like it a lot. However I dropped it on a rug and the mile part of it doesn't work now. It still is very useful for the other functions.

Great for the price!
I read a lot of the previous reviews before purchasing this. I am not techie in the sense that I don't like tedious instructions to program something. The reviews stated easy to program so I bought based on that. At first read the instructions seemed a little difficult, but after reading again and not skimming they were perfectly simple and I got it programed without any problem. I have noticed that it will not count steps correctly if only attached to a pants pocket. It needs to be on the waist band. It has reset itself once and one time I felt like it didn't count enough steps for the day, but for the price I find this product to be a bargain and a good starter pedometer.

Not Accurate, and Directions not in English
None of the directions are in English. It had the option for US Standard measurements, but Due to no directions in English I could not figure out how to take it off Metric tracking. Also, no matter how I adjusted my step length the pedometer was off. I would do the 100 step test to set it, and it would say I took 30 steps. This product was definitely a cheap pedometer, but I was hoping it would have atleast worked somewhat properly.

Calibration?
We recently purchased 2 of these. I wanted to see how accurate the pedometers were as far as number of steps, so I set both of them on the same settings...Step length, etc. My wife and I walked the same route at the same time this morning with the pedometers attached identically to our waists. Mine registered 3019 steps, and my wife's registered 4479 steps. Naturally, the values for calories and 'mileage' registered the same ratio...1.14 miles on mine and 1.69 on hers! Is their a calibration capability on these pedometers? Without that capability how do I know if either of them are correct???

I purchased this pedometer 2 weeks ago. I wear ...
I purchased this pedometer 2 weeks ago. I wear a pedometer daily and have purchased 3 of the Omron HJ-150 in the last 5-6 years. I don't hear any noise as one reviewer noted. But I notice that it must be reset to zero every morning rather than resetting automatically at midnight; there is no clock feature. I miss having a clock; it can be handy since I don't wear a watch and don't always carry my i-Phone out walking. The price of the HJ-150 has at least tripled in 5- 6 years, so I thought I'd try this one since it is priced much lower. I'll probably use til it breaks (it came with a second battery!), but wished I had just bought another HJ-150.
