These simple slip-on shoes are just alright. I like that the shoe is mesh and breathable, and it’s also very lightweight, which would be great for anyone traveling and needing to pack shoes in their suitcase. Overall, they’re pretty comfortable. I wear a size ten but would maybe size down to a 9 1/2. The mesh top is very giving, so it may not provide enough structure for an active walker; the mesh may also start to give out/or bounce back over time. Also, the large mesh soles aren’t as cushioned as other similar shoes I’ve had, and the bottom tread of the shoe is not slip-resistant. If you prefer a firmer, cushioned sole, this would be the appropriate shoe; if you’re like me and prefer a lot of cushion in the heel, this may be firmer than you anticipate. I was planning to get a pair for my grandmother. However, the mesh and raised cushion soles may make for a possible ankle injury if you’re not as steady on your feet.

I was not sure what to expect when I ordered the Oude platform sneakers. It's not a style that I would normally choose. I often have trouble with slip on shoes and boots because I broke my ankle years ago, and they can be difficult to put on over that foot. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried these on and they went over the bad ankle without any issues. The next thing I noticed is that there was plenty of room in the toe box area. My feet felt very comfortable inside these sneakers. I also appreciate that the fabric on the uppers is almost like a mesh, so it looks like they will be breathable even on very warm days.Walking in them was comfortable, but it took a minute or two to adjust because I normally don't wear any type of platform shoes.Lastly, the color was as depicted- a vibrant purple! If you like purple, you will love these sneakers! They will be perfect for casual walks and trips to the store, or even just wearing around the house. They are so comfortable. I highly recommend them.

For a light weight slip on sneaker that feels good all day at home and can do duty for a run to the store these fill the bill.The materials and workmanship are top quality. The fit (I ordered a size 10) is correct, supportive yet roomy and easy to slip on. Well cushioned and with a thick rocker sole perfect for a brief morning walk. Breathable, removable insole, good looking gray color, they are my new go-to shoes.These will not replace your running or jogging shoes – they’re not supposed to. There is little arch support for long walks or standing so if you need an arch insert order a bit larger so that can be accommodated.
