ASMARK Replacement Battery for MacBook Pro A1990, 2018-2019, 15-Inch

My Macbook Pro has been suffering with a dying battery for a couple of years and finally gave up the ghost the other day. This replacement kit included all the tools I needed to replace the old battery including spares. The only thing it didn't come with was rubbing alcohol to remove the old adhesive, but honestly that comes off just fine with a bit of elbow grease. The instructions were clear and very well-translated, and the image guide was clear and easy to follow too. Can't fault it!

Excellent item - very clear instructions in good English, and more to the point, worked perfectly. It's worth just watching a few YouTube videos first if you haven't done it before.

This product is perfect. Change the battery on my Mac Book Pro 2018. No need for videos online which are all missing crucial steps. The step by step image instructions that come with the battery are spot on.

The battery replacement process will surely require people who have some DIY experience because it is quite a complicate procedure; nevertheless, the instructional video did a good job of showing the process step by step. The more difficult part is opening the cover at the start. The Battery Replacement kit provides 6 screw drivers, and the video does quote the screw drivers used for the specific part; however, it can be confusing, especially since there were no labels on the screw drivers...

The cheap screwdrivers didn't fit properly and stripped the screws. Once I had it professionally installed, the battery life is 2 1/2 hours, which completely contradicts what was described. The sellers are based in China. It works nicely for then - sell a product that barely works and once installed in a complicated way, it's too late to return it. My experience is shared with other buyers of this battery.

Das Produkt enthält alle Werkzeuge die für den Austausch benötigt werden. Die einzige Sache die fehlt ist das Isopropanol (Reinigungsalkohol). Das bekommt man aber auch relativ einfach im Baumarkt oder der Apotheke. Es liegt eine Anleitung mit Bildern bei, außerdem gibt es ein verlinktess Youtube Video in dem der Austausch detailliert beschrieben wird. Auch alternative Schritte werden beschrieben. Ich hatte Probleme die Abdeckung zu lösen und auch diese Problem wird im Video angesprochen und gezeigt, wo man ansetzen muss um die Abdeckung dennoch zu lösen. Im Internet findet man noch weitere Anleitungen von anderen Herstellern. Bei anderen Herstellern werden in der Anleitung teilweise mehr Komponenten (Logicboard, Trackpad) ausgebaut. ASMark hat aber auch dort eigene Videos z.B. für den Ausbau des Trackpads, und empfiehlt auch im Video es besser auszubauen. Da ich aber etwas Übung im Umgang mit Elektronik habe, hab ich mich an die kurze Anleitung gehalten und es wunderbar funktioniert. Man muss allerdings etwas vorsichtiger beim Ausbauen des Akkus sein, da die alten Klebestreifen sehr fest sitzen und man nat. Logicboard bzw. Trackpad beschädigen kann, wenn man unvorsichtig ist. In Summe bin ich sehr zufrieden, alles ist da und funkioniert, die Anleitung ist detailliert und mit dem Video kommt man sehr gut zurecht.
