These scrunch football socks are fantastic for cold weather. They are warm and very comfortable--perfectly soft, clearly well-made and durable. I've never seen socks this long and wondered if they would sag, but they stay up very well--no slipping, even on long walks. Toe and heel are reinforced, which should extend their life. They absorb sweat and breathe, so your feet don't get hot. They are machine washable and do not shrink. I always hang them to dry, just to be sure they keep their size. I don't think I'd wear these in the hot summer, but they are perfect for cool or cold days.

I got these for my husband for weedeating purposes. He’s an aggressive weedeater, and debris hits his legs a lot, leaving him with lots of tiny wounds and a few bigger ones. So he started wearing his old basketball socks, which are about forty years old and are now in a state of disintegration. Wearing socks up to his knees has helped with the leg damage, but these are thicker, nicer, and these are going to help a lot more. The heel and ball of the foot seem to be extra cushy, and the knitting is very precise— they’re very structured for socks.The scrunching will provide extra cushioning and protection. I tried them on and they’re soft and cozy and ridiculously long on me, longer than my inseam. (I’m short. But still.). If you need long cushy socks, whatever your purpose, you’ll love these. They’re impressive.

Initially these socks were great! My nephew uses them for football and he said they don’t make his feet sweat too much and he doesn’t slide around in his cleats. However after a few washes, the heel is already beginning to thin out and won’t be long until a hole forms. We’ve only been using them for a little over a month so this is a disappointment. I am glad there are multiple pairs in the package so hopefully we’ll have better luck with another pair.

The large is marked L/XL. I wear a 12w shoe and these have a very comfortable stretch fit. These socks will cover your entire leg but if you have thick calves like me they will feel more like compression socks ! Not a deal breaker because I believe they will loosen up the more you wear them ! Perfect for the long legged athlete !

I ordered these for my nephew who is a Senior in high-school, because he very much needed new football socks. He's the quarterback for his high-school team and needs the right gear. These were perfect!!! I was pleasantly surprised to receive feedback that he LOVED these socks. They are VERY HIGH but he loved the scrunching factor. They're true to size, very soft and good quality, kept his feet dry, had great thickness/ cushioning, grip, and traction for his feet (which apparently is important for the game). These socks are comparable to compression socks, but slightly nicer lol. Highly impressed with these socks...who would've thought?!?!

I recently got a pair of cowboy style work boots and have been struggling to find a pair of socks that won't slip below the top of the boot, exposing my bare leg to the bootstraps and rubbing my skin. Rugby socks are the way to go! They compress nicely, too. It's a bit silly how long they are, but if your loved one has been dying to see you in a pair of thigh highs, we've got you covered... I pull them up to my knee and scrunch the rest above my ankle and calf for extra protection and cushion in the boot.

The foot fits, but the leg part is way too narrow especially for scrunch socks. I am unable to pull them up at all.
